Well, dang yesterday was a VERY scary day for Titans fans everywhere. In a joint practice yesterday in Minnesota, Treylon Burks, who looks to be a major part of the offense in 2023, went down with a pretty decent looking injury. He had to literally be carted off the field. Once a cart comes out, that's always an anxious moment.
Of course I'm not the one being hurt for real so I do want to acknowledge Treylon is a human, I hope he's doing well.
But this was SCARY, I thought the season was OVER.
For the Titans to be a well balanced offense they need BOTH Treylon Burks and DeAndre Hopkins to be healthy and fresh as a daisy.
Here's the injury.

This was an older clip this doctor Youtuber released after news of Burks's injury.
It seems that, just a few hours later it was reported that Burks somehow has avoided a major injury and only experienced an LCL sprain and that nothing tore.
Sounds like an unpleasant injury even if it's not that serious.

So yeah, it seems that Burks will only miss about 4-6 weeks hopefully. The start of the season, or only a game or two.
Honestly, I want Burks to take his time. Miss up to four games for all I care as long as the Titans aren't like 0-3. If they're 0-3 I'd want Burks back then, but even then I wouldn't be horribly mad. I just want the guy healthy and not have the injury linger all that much throughout the season.
Glad it's nothing too serious, the Titans do have to figure things out at receiver in the meantime though.
DeAndre Hopkins is still there of course, I can just hope he can be a beast for the Titans and carry a lot of the receiving load. Receivers Chis Moore, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Kyle Philips, should all also get plenty of reps.
The season can really be salvaged still! It will be interesting to see how the Titans handle this adversity.
