Hola amigos de HiveArte, soy nuevo en la plataforma de Hive, y bueno es un placer para mí presentar en esta comunidad mi primera publicación relacionada con arte. Este retrato se hizo como encargo por parte de un amigo, para darlo de regalo a su madre por su cumpleaños, y pues disfrute mucho haciéndolo. Pero primero que nada, debo advertirles que no hay muchas imágenes específicas del proceso, ya que tengo el defecto de perderme haciendo mi trabajo, pero acá están las que pude (recordé) tomar, sin embargo, trataré de mostrarles más en publicaciones futuras.
Hello friends of HiveArte, I'm new in the Hive platform, and well it's a pleasure for me to present in this community my first publication related to art. This portrait was commissioned by a friend, to give it as a gift to his mother for her birthday, and I really enjoyed doing it. But first of all, I must warn you that there are not many specific images of the process, since I have the defect of getting lost doing my work, but here are the ones I could (I remembered) to take, however, I will try to show you more in future publications.

Como todos los dibujos de retratos, comencé con el boceto, sé que existen técnicas para definir la anatomía, líneas y formas que se usan para guiarse al momento de hacer estos trabajos, sin embargo, por alguna razón no suelo usarlas muy a menudo, por supuesto que eso muchas veces dificulta mi trabajo, pero la verdad esos métodos los he usado solo para trabajar con personajes de comics o mangas. Use un lápiz 2B para el boceto.
Like all portrait drawings, I started with the sketch, I know that there are techniques to define the anatomy, lines and shapes that are used to guide when doing these works, however, for some reason I don't use them very often, of course that often makes my work difficult, but the truth is that I have used those methods only to work with comic or manga characters. Use a 2B pencil for the sketch.
Luego acá comenzó el problema para mí, como se darán cuenta, esta señora tenía un peinado, de esos que se usaban en los 80 o 90, y al ser su cabello negro, no pude empezar a sombrear de izquierda a derecha como siempre, tenía algo de miedo que después algo no encajara en su rostro, así que hice unas pequeñas sombras de base, como para dejarlo "prefijado".
Then here began the problem for me, as you will notice, this lady had a hairstyle, one of those that were used in the 80's or 90's, and being her hair black, I could not start shading from left to right as usual, I was a little afraid that later something would not fit her face, so I made some small base shadows, as if to leave it "prefixed".
Contemplándolo un momento.
En este punto, tuve que hacer una pausa conmigo mismo, ya que sabía que el peinado de la Sra. me costaría, además de que en la foto, no se definían bien texturas o las diferentes direcciones del cabello y pues no querían que quedara solo como una nube negra allí. Así que en gran parte, tuve que imaginarme ciertos mechones.Para el cabello usé mi viejo, pero siempre confiable, lápiz 6B.
At this point, I had to pause with myself, as I knew that the hairstyle of the lady would cost me, plus in the photo, the textures or the different directions of the hair were not well defined and they did not want it to look like just a black cloud there.So for the most part, I had to imagine certain locks. For the hair I used my old, but always reliable, 6B pencil.
Para mí dibujar el cabello solo ya es un arte, y darle esa textura, luces, etc. es algo que admiro que le da un toque especial a los retratos. Poco a poco fui dando trazos al cabello, y para el rostro fui alternando los lápices usando el lápiz 3B para las sombras más tenues, y el 6B para las más oscuras y casi todo lo demás. El 6B suele ser el que más uso
For me drawing hair alone is already an art, and giving it that texture, lights, etc. is something I admire that gives a special touch to the portraits. Little by little I was giving strokes to the hair, and for the face I was alternating the pencils using the 3B pencil for the faintest shadows, and the 6B for the darkest ones and almost everything else. The 6B is usually the one I use the most.
Una vez terminado lo contemplé desde distintos ángulos y le mandé esta foto a mi amigo.
Once finished I looked at it from different angles and sent this photo to my friend.
A mi amigo le gustó, me comentó sobre la sonrisa, me dijo que justo así sonríe su madre. Admito que escuchar, eso me dio satisfacción, así que lo firme y se lo lleve a su casa.
My friend liked it, he told me about the smile, he told me that his mother smiles just like that. I admit that listening, that gave me satisfaction, so I signed it and took it home.
