Así me explicó que debería hacer mis ejercicios, y así los voy haciendo. Esta vez el trabajo es estudiar la forma humana, más bien, el esqueleto. De esta manera, la anatomía no solo serán músculos o movimientos, y en el estudio es muy interesante aprender y descubrir. Nos propuso un ejercicio que yo extendí de sobremanera, porque verdaderamente no había aprendido mucho en esta materia hasta ahora.
The idea is to take photographs of postures and do as if we were tracing them, but only giving shape to the important parts that form that skeleton. We place the image and a tracing sheet on top. I managed to make this mini board (how ingenious, but it was not a board, although it served that purpose) I used a glass baking dish, placed the light underneath, and my photograph on top. There I held my photograph with a bit of tape and with my sheet, which is not tracing paper, but is quite transparent, I did the exercise.

La idea es tomar fotografías de posturas y hacer como si las calcasemos, pero solo dando forma a las partes importantes que forman ese esqueleto. Colocamos la imágen y una hoja de calcar encima. Yo me las ingenié para hacer este mini tablero (qué ingenio, pero no era un tablero, aunque sirvió con ese fin) Utilicé una fuente de vidrio para el horno, coloqué la luz debajo, y mi fotografía encima. Allí sostuve mi fotografía con un poco de cinta y con mi hoja que no es de calcar, pero es bastante transparente, hice el ejercicio.

Si bien podemos continuar con la parte creativa (claro, a mi esto me encanta) la idea era solo crear las estructuras, para comprenderlas. Así logramos saber cómo se comportan las distintas partes, aún si queremos dibujar caricaturas o cambiar un rostro, pero no la postura.

Y el torso debe dividirse en dos, pudiendo también elegir dibujar el movimiento de un triángulo donde está la cadera. Es muy completo el estudio de la anatomía y no es lo que propone este curso, aunque nos recomienda un libro sobre el tema (libro que ya comencé a leer) y evidentemente aprender, hacer y seguir creando son el camino que busco.

Personally I chose daring, complicated poses, which I could not think of drawing by my own methods unless they require this tracing. The good thing is that as soon as I mark the articulations, the movement of the legs, or the perspective of some parts, I feel that it takes shape, that I advance and that is exactly what is important. Give time to learning. This exercise is not to stand out being better than anyone else, but to analyze and to be able to understand the form behind the final figure.

En lo personal elegí posturas osadas, complicadas, que no podría pensar en dibujar por mis propios métodos a no ser que requieran este calcado. Lo bueno es que en cuanto marco las articulaciones, el movimiento que hacen las piernas, o la perspectiva de algunas partes, siento que toma forma, que avanzo y justamente eso es lo importante. Darle tiempo al aprendizaje. Este ejercicio no es para destacarse siendo mejor que nadie, sino para analizar y poder entender la forma detrás de la figura final.

Entendiendo así que no hay cosas bien o mal hechas, interesantes resultados aparecieron en clase, todas usamos fotografías distintas y se logró un matiz y una charla muy enriquecedora. Creo que el aprendizaje de esta manera, con este método, es extenso, y me enseña mucho más que videos o personas diciendome “solo debes intentarlo”
As a personal experience, it has been hard to beat trying to replicate poses from another photograph or a real person, without having this as a structure. Como experiencia personal, ha sido difícil de vencer el intentar replicar posturas de otra fotografía o de una persona real, sin tener esto como estructura. Ahora también podré usar mi muñeco de madera que es clave para esto, para colocarlo en la postura que deseo y hacer mi propia “copia”. Les dejo un saludo y un abrazo enorme, pero no sin antes contarles que aunque el curso debería haber terminado, fuimos retrasados por cortes de luz y malestar de la profe, asique esperemos que pronto podamos recuperar clases perdidas y darle forma a este objetivo que me tracé para comenzar el año aprendiendo y dando forma a mi parte creativa.
