Hello there, buddies!
When life seems to be moving at warp speed, do you ever wish you could push the pause button for a while? Well, I recently did exactly that. I made the decision to disconnect from the internet for three wonderful days, which was much-needed. I was alone with my couch, a tonne of TV shows, and no social media or email. Beware of spoilers: It was AMAZING!
Day 1: The Great Escape 🚀
On day one, I did not plan to cut off today or any other day coming but I was on twitter and just felt like I had to unplug. So I got out of the app with the intention of not going back until the next day. It felt liberating! My plan was simple: indulge in some much-needed escapism.
I started looking for what to watch, I've been wanting to rewatch for ages - "One Punch Man" It's like a warm hug for the soul, and I couldn't stop laughing at Saitama's antics. By the time I moved on to "Jujutsu Kaisen," I moved on to podcasts and completely immersed in a world of supernatural mysteries and '80s nostalgia. Time flew by, and I couldn't help but wonder why I hadn't done this sooner. There was so much to consume.
Day 2: Diving Deeper 🌊
Day two was a repeat of the second half of the previous day. As the hours ticked away, I realized how much I had missed this kind of relaxation. No notifications, no stress, just me and captivating storytelling. It was the perfect way to recharge my batteries.
Day 3: The Chill Conclusion 😴
By day three, I was feeling relaxed but a little tired. I capped off my TV show marathon with some light-hearted comedies. As the evening approached, I finally reconnected with the digital world. It was nice to see what everyone had been up to, but it also made me appreciate my little break even more. I felt refreshed, like I had hit the reset button on my mental state.
So, here I am, back in the digital realm, sharing my three-day adventure with you. I feel fine, a little tired, but undeniably better for having taken this time for myself. Sometimes, all you need is an entertainment marathon to unwind and find your balance again. That's also when I created this portrait.
If you've been feeling overwhelmed by the constant hustle and bustle of the online world, I highly recommend giving yourself a break like this. Your favorite shows are waiting for you, and they have the magical power to whisk you away to another universe, even if just for a little while.
Here's to more mini digital detoxes and embracing the joy of TV show marathons! 📺✨
Catch you later,
