Otra de las razones por las que no solía ser constante con mi práctica de dibujo era porque no me sentía capaz de lograr reproducir la imagen de referencia que uso para guiarme, ni siquiera porque muchas de esas imágenes vienen con un paso a paso bastante detallado, tenía demasiada inseguridad y mucho miedo a fallar y decepcionarme, pero poco a poco he ido entendiendo que probablemente falle a la primera y eso no importa lo importante es intentarlo.
Another reason why I used to be inconsistent with my drawing practice was because I didn't feel able to reproduce the reference image I use to guide me, not even because many of those images come with a detailed step by step, I had too much insecurity and too much fear of failing and disappointing myself, but little by little I have been understanding that I will probably fail the first time and that doesn't matter, the important thing is to try.
Por eso me puse manos a la obra con esta práctica en la que quise dibujar un ojo de perfil, seguía sientiendome igual, o sea, pensaba que no iba a poder hacerlo, para mi sorpresa me salió bastante bien y a la primera, me sentí tan bien y además de eso aprendí otra gran lección, "con todo y miedo, hazlo" si no me hubiese atrevido a hacerlo no me hubiese dado cuenta de que sí soy capaz de dibujar incluso lo que me parece demasiado elaborado y eso apenas iniciando mis prácticas lo que quiere decir que sí sigo practicando lograré cosas mejores.
So I got down to work with this practice in which I wanted to draw a profile eye, I still felt the same way, that is, I thought I was not going to be able to do it, to my surprise it came out quite well and the first time, I felt so good and besides that I learned another great lesson, "with everything and fear, do it " if I had not dared to do it I would not have realized that I am able to draw even what seems too elaborate and that just starting my practice which means that if I continue practicing I will achieve better things.

Primero dibuje un círculo, para que el círculo me quede perfecto uso la tapa de un frasco pequeño, todavía no confío en mi pulsó y un día en un video escuché que no esta mal ayudarse de un compás cuando se quieren círculos perfectos, como no tengo compás simplemente improvise. Ese círculo es el globo ocular del ojo, al lado le anexe como una especie de medía luna (no sé muy bien cómo explicarlo), pero es allí dónde más adelante ubicare la pupila y el iris, también dibujé un triángulo desde la mitad hacía afuera del globo ocular.
First I drew a circle, to make the circle perfect I use the lid of a small bottle, I still don't trust in my pulse and one day in a video I heard that it's not bad to use a compass when you want perfect circles, as I don't have a compass I just improvised. That circle is the eyeball of the eye, to the side I attached a kind of crescent (I don't know how to explain it), but that's where I will place the pupil and the iris later, I also drew a triangle from the middle outwards of the eyeball.
Ese triángulo sirve para ubicar el lugar de los parpados superior e inferior, aunque me cueste un poco estructurar reconozco que hacerlo ayuda mucho a ubicar mejor cada cosa en el dibujo, una forma geométrica básica es genial para luego darle la forma deseada al dibujo, en esta paso también ubiqué la pupila y comencé a hacer el iris.
That triangle is used to locate the place of the upper and lower eyelids, although it costs me a little structure I recognize that doing it helps a lot to better locate each thing in the drawing, a basic geometric shape is great to then give the desired shape to the drawing, in this step I also located the pupil and began to make the iris.
Luego comencé a sombrear el ojo, y es aquí dónde comienzan mis miedos, yo no tengo duda que puedo lograr hacer el ojo partiendo de un boceto básico con figuras geométricas, mi miedo era no poder lograr el realismo que se ve en la imagen de referencia porque aun no dominó bien la técnica de luces y sombras y porque muy poco he intentado dibujar cosas realistas, pero gracias a Dios con miedo y todo comencé a sombrear el ojo y logré conseguir que se vea bastante realista.
Then I started to shade the eye, and this is where my fears begin, I have no doubt that I can make the eye from a basic sketch with geometric figures, my fear was not being able to achieve the realism that you see in the reference image because I have not yet mastered the technique of lights and shadows and because very little I have tried to draw realistic things, but thank God with fear and all I started to shade the eye and I managed to get it to look quite realistic.
quede fascinada al ver como jugando con las luces y las sombras se puede lograr ese realismo de una forma tan mágica 🪄 😍 está práctica sin duda me ha hecho enamorarme aún mas del dibujo realista.
I was fascinated to see how playing with lights and shadows can achieve that realism in such a magical way 🪄 😍 this practice has certainly made me fall in love with realistic drawing even more.
Y este fue el resultado, ame como quedó y ame también mi sutil pero significativo progreso con las pestañas, sobretodo porque jamás había hecho pestañas en ese ángulo, siento que quedaron mejor que en el ojo anterior. Está práctica de ojos aún no termina sigo practicando en diferentes ángulos así que espero poder seguir compartiendo por aquí lo feliz que me hacen mis prácticas y mi progreso. 🥰
And this was the result, I loved the result and I also loved my subtle but significant progress with the eyelashes, especially because I had never done eyelashes at that angle, I feel they were better than in the previous eye. This eye practice is not over yet, I'm still practicing in different angles so I hope I can continue to share here how happy I am with my practices and my progress. 🥰
