I wrote about this on Twitter earlier today. The question was cryptic for the uninitiated. More along the lines of IYKYK.
But I am curious as to whether folks are of the mind to create alt accounts or not. There is no incorrect answer. Merely personal preferences.
In the beginning
When I first joined Hive, I was unsure and chose to create an alt account. This allowed me the freedom and flexibility without the weight of my web2 persona having any influence on my web3 fumblings. I'm a big fan of learn, share, grow. And believe in experimenting in public, but for this I sort of wanted to figure things out without being known. There was a freedom to the anonymity of posting, engaging, and learning.
I learned later that my epodcaster account from "the other blockchain" had forked over and was waiting for me to claim it. So I did. Then I began creating content here with the username I have been known by since 2005.
So About Alts
I have found success in having both a named and alt account. Do you have alt accounts? If so, have you found having an alt account to be beneficial or more work than it is worth?
