I had grand plans to have this post all put together well in advance of the first, since (as you can see by my title) there's a lot happening today!
But here I am, with only two hours left of the first via the UTC time zone that @hivebuzz goes by, and so I find myself needing to practice one of my first goals for this month - don't worry about writing the perfect post, just git 'er done!😂
My #HiveBloPoMo Goals
So yes, one of my goals is to stop overthinking every post before I hit, "publish." I want to try some shorter form posts as well - it's been a minute since I've done any flash fiction, or "wordless Wednesday" type content. I also want to post in some communities that I haven't yet popped into, like...
Not sure I'll be able to get to all of them, but I figured having this list will be handy if I have a day that I'm stumped for what I want to post, and the prompt calendar I put together in the announcement post doesn't do it for me.
Other than that, the obvious goal of getting a daily post out each day before 5pm my time to give me plenty of wiggle room for the UTC time zone (and yes, I'm finishing this post now and it's 7pm...oopsie), and to not treat this as a chore, but as something fun!
Oh, and now that we have an official HiveBloPoMo Community, I want to spend some time each day, commenting on posts and helping to encourage everyone taking part. In fact, as soon as I hit "publish" on this post, that's where I'm heading next.
My #NaPodPoMo Goals
After participating in @epodcaster's awesome #HiveChat last week (on October 26th), I started to give serious consideration to reviving my old & very short lived podcast, "Ask A Witch." While I'm pretty sure at this point that I won't be able to get one done every day, I might give it a go once a week as a kind of, dip my toes in, sort of thing.
And when I went looking for my old posts, I realized that my recordings that were available "exclusively on DSound" have now disappeared since (as far as I know) DSound is no longer a thing. However, thanks to an awesome tip from @epodcaster, I converted the mp3 files I still had via Headliner, then uploaded them to YouTube.
Fair warning though - I only listened to each of these long enough to confirm there was audio to listen to - I have no idea how much cringe may or may not be in them...lol! Oh, and long enough to know I shouted out to say thank you to @raymondspeaks as he apparently inspired me to do these with his, Questions For a Scotsman podcast.

My #HivePUD (Hive Power Up Day) Power Up
I've been saving every little bit of $HBD that I can, ever since the saving account started giving that lovely bit of 10% APR. As a result, my past few PUDs have been a bit on the lean side. However this month, I traded some of it in for enough Hive to give me my usual 111.111 $HIVE to power up...
Also, as part of the @hivebuzz Power Up Day Helper thing, I powered up 11.111 $HIVE to an account who just joined our blockchain home in October...
I sent @mercredibenz a message on Twitter, but thought I'd say something onchain as well. While I've been powering up to people every month since the Hive Buzz badge was announced (yes, I know you can only get the badge once, but I still like doing this), I've been bad at actually letting them know, so it's led to a bit of confusion...lol! So I guess you could say that letting the people I power up to know that I've done it is my Power Up Day goal. 😂
