Can you eat 100 fried eggs? 100 hamburgers? 5 kilos of food? As much as I love to eat, I don't see myself being able to eat that amount of food without ending up in the emergency room of the hospital.
That's why one of the channels I like to watch is that of the Spaniard Stikk. This man is one of those who has been very successful on this platform doing food challenges. He has visited many places in Spain and even other parts of the world, always looking for a challenge to do and break records. He almost always succeeds. There are also challenges that he has not finished.
This man and other of his friends who also do gastronomic content, it is better not to invite them to eat. They will devour large quantities. He has prepared himself over time for that. I think it's even dangerous for someone to try to do one of these challenges. In restaurants in the US where the content creator has travelled to make foodie content, they have to sign a contract saying that they are not responsible in case a lot of things go wrong or affect their health.

Por eso uno de los canales que me gusta ver es el del español Stikk. Este hombre es uno de los que ha tenido mucho éxito en esta plataforma haciendo retos de comida. Ha visitado muchos lugares de España e incluso de otras partes del mundo, siempre buscando un reto que hacer y batir récords. Casi siempre lo consigue. También hay retos que no ha terminado.
A este hombre y a otros de sus amigos que también hacen contenidos gastronómicos, es mejor no invitarles a comer. Devorarán grandes cantidades. Él se ha preparado con el tiempo para eso. Creo que es incluso peligroso que alguien intente hacer uno de esos retos. En los restaurantes de Estados Unidos donde el creador de contenidos ha viajado para hacer contenidos foodie, tienen que firmar un contrato en la que dicen que no son responsables en caso de que muchas cosas salgan mal o afecten a su salud.
Anyone would think that someone who eats so much would be very fat, but he doesn't eat like that every day. I'm not going to deny that sometimes those kind of videos are not very pleasant, when they eat hamburgers, kebad, pizzas, the way he grabs the bread, dipping them in drink or water, to make them digest faster, can be repulsive.
For me it is quite entertaining to watch him swallow a large amount of food. Especially if you see him suffer. When you can see in his face that he is having a hard time. In several of his videos, where he has eaten something very spicy, you can really see that he is suffering in order to finish the challenge.

No voy a negar que a veces ese tipo de vídeos no son muy agradables, cuando comen hamburguesas, kebad, pizzas, la forma en que agarra el pan, mojándolos con bebida o agua, para que se digieran más rápido, puede ser repulsivo.
Para mi es bastante entretenido verle tragar una gran cantidad de comida. Sobre todo si le ves sufrir. Cuando se le ve en la cara que lo está pasando mal. En varios de sus vídeos, en los que ha comido algo muy picante, se ve realmente que está sufriendo para poder terminar el reto.

Stikk has been making videos on yotutube for about 11 years, but his initial content was all nonsense. At that time he was a young guy from Malaga who wanted to make it as a youtuber, so he made very silly content. At that time I didn't consume that many youtube videos either. I paid attention to him during the beginning of the pandemic, precisely when his channel became more popular and his followers increased considerably. He was already successful, but it was during the pandemic period that the number of views increased. He now has more than 5 million subscribers and manages other secondary channels to monetise more.
His career has not been without controversy. The oldest is when he was allegedly robbed and asked his followers for money to buy another camera. The most controversial was when a very difficult challenge was found to be a hoax. I think that's taught him a lesson and he's matured. He still has his funny style, but he seems more focused. He has taken his success outside of youtube, setting up his own smash burger restaurant.
I like this youtuber. I like his food challenge videos. He's entertaining. That's what matters to me as a viewer. All the gossip and drama that goes on between these content creators, while entertaining, is the least interesting.

Stikk lleva unos 11 años haciendo vídeos en yotutube, pero sus contenidos iniciales eran todo tonterías. Por aquel entonces el era un joven malagueño que quería triunfar como youtuber, así que hacía contenidos muy tontos. En aquella época yo tampoco consumía tantos vídeos de youtube. Le presté atención durante el inicio de la pandemia, precisamente cuando su canal se hizo más popular y sus seguidores aumentaron considerablemente. Ya tenía éxito, pero fue durante el periodo de la pandemia cuando aumentó el número de visualizaciones. Actualmente tiene más de 5 millones de suscriptores y gestiona otros canales secundarios para monetizar más.
Su carrera no ha estado exenta de polémica. La más antigua es cuando supuestamente le robaron y pidió dinero a sus seguidores para comprar otra cámara. La más polémica fue cuando se descubrió que un reto muy difícil era una farsa. Creo que eso le ha servido de lección y ha madurado. Sigue teniendo su estilo divertido, pero parece más centrado. Ha llevado su éxito fuera de youtube, montando su propio restaurante de hamburguesas smash.
Me gusta este youtuber. Me gustan sus vídeos de retos gastronómicos. Es entretenido. Eso es lo que me importa como espectador. Todos los cotilleos y dramas que ocurren entre esos creadores de contenidos, aunque entretenidos, son lo menos interesante.
