Hello, beautiful YouHive community! This is my first post here, and I wanted to dedicate it to a Spanish-speaking channel that has been capturing my attention for quite some time now. It's Tales from the Dark Side, where Mr. José Ramón Cantalapiedra tells stories of horror, mystery, and human wickedness...
¡Hola, bonita comunidad de YouHive! Este es mi primer post por acá y quise dedicárselo a un canal en español que ha estado robando mi atención por completo desde hace ya bastante tiempo. Se trata de Relatos del Lado Oscuro, donde el señor José Ramón Cantalapiedra relata historias de terror, misterios y perversidad humana...
A couple of years ago, my boyfriend, a devoted horror fan, recommended several horror story channels to me. They were all generally good, but this one was the one that captivated me from the start. If I'm not mistaken, Mr. Cantalapiedra is a broadcaster, and if he isn't, he should be, as his voice is perfect for the narration, which he delivers splendidly, very naturally, and with just the right words to spark curiosity, making you stay until the end of the video to find out how the story ends.
With understandable yet formal language, providing the necessary details to give a complete perspective of the situation being described and even, depending on the topic, providing interesting and complete historical data, it's truly an incredibly entertaining channel.
Hace un par de años mi novio, fiel amante del terror, me recomendó varios canales de historias de terror. En general todos fueron buenos, pero éste fue el que me cautivó desde un principio. Si no me equivoco, el sr. Cantalapiedra es locutor y si no lo es, debería serlo, pues su voz es perfecta para la narración, la cual a su vez hace de forma espléndida, con mucha naturalidad y con las palabras exactas para generarte curiosidad, haciendo que te quedes hasta el final del vídeo para saber cómo termina la historia.
Con un lenguaje comprensible pero aún así formal, dando los detalles necesarios que permiten tener una perspectiva completa de la situación narrada e incluso, dependiendo del tema, dando datos históricos interesantes y completos, la verdad es un canal increíblemente entretenido.
The main focus is horror, although they also cover other themes that I'll mention in a moment. The overall intention is to focus on stories, myths, and legends that scare you. The narration makes everything feel immersive; it really draws you into the story as if you were experiencing it yourself. Some videos have audio resources (sounds) to further emphasize the horror. Others rely solely on the narrator's talent for telling the stories.
I think any type of horror can have a story on this channel. From ghosts, demons, witches, haunted places, curses, exorcisms... there's a little bit of everything here.
Lo principal es el terror, aunque también tocan otros tipos de temas que ya mencionaré, pero la intención general es centrarse en historias, mitos y leyendas que te asusten. La narración hace que todo se sienta envolvente, realmente logra que te metas en la historia como si la vivieras tú mismo. Algunos videos tienes recursos auditivos (sonidos) para darle mayor énfasis al terror. Otros solo se basan en el talento del narrador para contar sus relatos.
Creo que cualquier tipo de terror puede tener una historia en este canal. Desde fantasmas, demonios, brujas, lugares encantados, maldiciones, exorcismos... Aquí hay de todo un poco.
They also have videos dedicated to mysteries. This is where they touch on historical aspects the most, exploring stories that don't have a clear explanation or where no one ever knew what happened. These videos aren't horror per se, although they might still affect you if you're very fearful. These videos are full of intrigue, and again, the narrator makes sure you're feel curious. They give you little hints of information as a teaser to get you interested, so you'll listen to the whole thing to get every detail.
También cuentan con videos dedicados a los misterios. Aquí es donde más tocan aspectos históricos, explorando aquellas historias que no tienen una explicación clara o que de plano no se supo nunca qué ocurrió. En estos vídeos no hay terror per se, aunque puede que si eres muy miedoso te afecten igual. En estos hay mucha intriga y nuevamente, el narrador se encarga de que te genere curiosidad. Te va dando pequeños datos a modo de adelanto para que te intereses, y así escuches todo para enterarte de cada detalle.
And the section dedicated to human wickedness is definitely my favorite, because what could be more terrifying than knowing we're surrounded by so many people with dark intentions. Here, stories are told based on people who actually existed and committed such horrors that with each video, you'll think that reality is truly stranger than fiction.
Y la sección dedicada a la perversidad humana es definitivamente mi favorita, pues qué puede generar más terror que saber que nos rodean tantas personas con intenciones oscuras. Aquí se narran historias basadas en personas que existieron y cometieron tales horrores que te hará pensar con cada video que definitivamente la realidad supera a la ficción.

I'll never stop recommending this channel to all horror and mystery fans who appreciate excellent storytelling. There are few storytellers with the talent and magic of Mr. Cantalapiedra, and if you add to that the interesting stories he tells, then it's the perfect formula for an incredible channel.
By the way, if you're not a Spanish speaker and are curious about the channel, you can turn on the YouTube subtitles and watch it with no problem. The translation is quite accurate.
No me cansaré de recomendar este canal a todos aquellos fans del terror y misterios que sepan apreciar una excelente narración. Hay pocos cuentacuentos que tengan el talento y la magia del sr. Cantalapiedra, y si a eso se le suman las historias tan interesantes que narra, entonces es la fórmula perfecta para un canal increíble.
Por cierto, si no eres hispanohablante y te genera curiosidad el canal, puedes activar los subtítulos de YouTube y verlo tranquilamente. La traducción es bastante correcta.
