(ENG-ESP) Amazing and Giant: That's Space

Hello, hello, YouHive family!
Here I am again with you, super excited because today I'm bringing you a review of a video that left my son Abraham and me speechless with excitement: “Space Is Much Bigger Than You Think” from the Sorprendente channel. The truth is that we were really looking forward to seeing this video we love content about the universe and from the moment it started, it was a spectacular journey.
From the very first second, we were amazed by how they explain the size and scale of space using everyday objects such as fruit and coins. That comparison helped Abraham and me to clearly understand how enormous the planets, stars, and distances between them are. It was incredible to see how an orange could represent the Earth and a watermelon the Sun, or how a coin symbolized a tiny planet. Without abstract numbers, everything feels more real, more accessible.
I was moved by how the video makes us feel how small we are compared to the universe. When they show giant galaxies, how many planets there are in the Milky Way, or the immensity of superclusters, it's impossible not to be shocked. According to the video, the Milky Way alone contains hundreds of billions of stars, but that's just a speck compared to everything else.
The animation is simple but very understandable: clean graphics, clear visual comparisons, and the narrator is incredible, speaks very well, and explains spectacularly with a warm voice.. Each explanation is well detailed, which makes difficult concepts such as the volume of the observable universe or the growth of galaxies accessible even to our little ones. My son Abraham was excited, repeating, “Mom, look, that's bigger than anything we could have imagined!”

Aquí estoy otra vez con ustedes, súper emocionada porque hoy les traigo una reseña de un video que hizo que mi hijo Abraham y yo quedáramos con la boca abierta de la emoción: “El Espacio Es Mucho Más Grande De Lo Que Crees” del canal Sorprendente. La verdad es que teníamos muchas ganas de ver este video nos fascinan los contenidos sobre el universo y desde que empezó, fue un viaje espectacular.
Desde el primer segundo, nos sorprendió cómo explican el tamaño y la escala del espacio usando objetos cotidianos como frutas y monedas. Esa comparación nos ayudó, a mi y a Abraham, a comprender de forma clara lo enormes que son los planetas, las estrellas y las distancias entre ellos. Fue increíble ver cómo una naranja podía representar la Tierra y una sandía el Sol, o cómo una moneda simbolizaba un planeta pequeñito. Así, sin números abstractos, todo se siente más real, más cercano.
Me conmovió cómo el video nos hace sentir lo pequeños que somos en comparación con el universo. Cuando muestran gigantes galaxias, cuántos planetas hay en la Vía Láctea, o la inmensidad de los supercúmulos, es imposible no quedarse en shock. Según el video, la Vía Láctea sola contiene cientos de miles de millones de estrellas, pero eso es solo una mota en comparación con todo lo demás.
La animación es sencilla pero muy entendible: gráficos limpios, comparaciones visuales claras y el narrador es increíble habla muy bien y explica espectacular con una vos cálida. Cada explicación está bien detallada, lo cual hace que los conceptos difíciles como el volumen del universo observable o el crecimiento de las galaxias sean accesibles incluso para nuestros peques. Mi hijo Abraham estaba emocionado repitiendo: “¡Mamá, mira, eso es más grande que todo lo que habíamos imaginado!”

Another moment that struck us was when they explained how the observable universe is not all that exists. They told us about Hubble volume, that gigantic sphere beyond which light no longer reaches us, and that opened our minds to thinking about something even broader. That part touched our hearts... It made us think about how small we are compared to how enormous and magical everything out there is.
The pace of the video is very well done, it doesn't beat around the bush. First they show you examples with fruit, then they explain the numbers clearly, and in the end they leave you thinking about how incredible it all is. The information about our Milky Way, galaxies, and superstructures such as the Great Wall of Hercules or Quipu (which they say is the largest known) opened the door for us to continue researching more, even though they don't mention it directly.
In short, this video from Sorprendente not only excited us, it also taught us. It was a wonderful lesson about our smallness and the greatness of the cosmos, explained so clearly and entertainingly that Abraham and I were left wanting more. We watched it as a family, with sparkling eyes and conversation after the video about how big the most distant galaxy might be or whether other universes exist.
If you like learning new things and being amazed at the same time, you will love this video as much as we did. It is ideal for sharing with children and adults alike, because we can all marvel together. There is no better way to connect, learn, and dream about the universe.

Otro momento que nos impactó fue cuando explican cómo el universo observable no es todo lo que existe. Nos contaron sobre el volumen de Hubble, esa esfera gigantesca más allá de donde la luz ya no nos alcanza, y eso abrió nuestra cabeza a pensar en algo aún más amplio. Esa parte nos tocó el corazón… Nos hizo pensar lo pequeñitos que somos comparado con lo enorme y mágico que es todo lo que hay allá afuera.
El ritmo del video está muy bien logrado, no se anda con rodeos. Primero te muestran los ejemplos con frutas, luego te explican los números con claridad, y al final te dejan pensando en lo increíble que es todo. La información sobre nuestra Vía Láctea, las galaxias, y súper estructuras como la Gran Muralla de Hércules o Quipu (que dicen es la más grande conocida) aunque no lo mencionan directamente nos abrió la puerta a seguir investigando más después
En resumen, este video de Sorprendente no solo nos emocionó, también nos enseñó. Fue una clase maravillosa sobre nuestra pequeñez y la grandeza del cosmos, explicada de forma tan clara y entretenida que Abraham y yo nos quedamos queriendo más. Lo vimos en familia, con ojos brillantes y conversación tras el video sobre qué tan grande puede ser la galaxia más lejana o si existen otros universos.
Si les gusta aprender cosas nuevas y al mismo tiempo quedar con la boca abierta, este video les va a encantar tanto como a nosotros. Ideal para compartir con niños y adultos por igual, porque todos podemos maravillarnos juntos. No hay mejor forma de conectar, aprender y soñar con el universo.
