The 30-year-old Verhoeven is ready to defend his world title for the ninth time. He beat Hari three years ago when the Amsterdammer of Moroccan descent broke an arm during the fight. "He didn't want to win like that and I didn't lose," says 35-year-old Hari. "Now we can really fight it out."
Hari says he is better prepared than three years ago in Oberhausen. "At that time I fought multiple battles," he says. "I was in court and I had to go to jail. Now I am ready. " His trainer Mike Passenier is also counting on his pupil. "Then he started the preparation with the condition as a community police officer after a prison sentence. Now Badr is fitter and in better shape. "
The fight will last no more than five three-minute rounds on Saturday evening. Verhoeven seems to have the advantage, because in recent years he has always been fitter than his opponents. Hari does not expect that he will get into condition conditionally after a few laps. "I am prepared for everything and want to show who is the best."
