One of the benefits of always ranting on about Precious Metals to family and friends is that they always know what they can buy you for your birthday. My last birthday I received a few silver coins from the Perth Mint and this one is particularly notable because my wife bought it for me and it’s the 2022 Pheonix 1 oz Silver Coin. She would kill me for mentioning this on a blockchain – but it’s significant because she has a tattoo of a Pheonix so it’s kind of symbolic of her. Her tattoo does actually look a lot like this coin.

It has a mintage of only 40,000 and while I don’t know how much she paid for it, I do know that its sold out and is commanding quite a heavy premium on Ebay already. The obverse has Queen Elizabeth II on it and it is probably one of the last coins minted at the Perth Mint before she died.

All up it looks like a pretty collectable coin. You can find more information about the coin at the Perth Mint Website and if you want to see a typical Ebay listing then you can buy one HERE. If you buy 3 of them then the premium is only about 86%! Regardless, this one wont be for sale.
