It's been a while since I've done an update to the secret fondle stash. I finally have some more silver to add and thought I'd share it. These pieces are typically milk spotted, toned, scratched, scuffed, dinged, worn, etc. The idea is I can handle these pieces with my bare hands anytime I want because they're not going to lose any more value than they already have. They're worth spot price, and so I get to pretend to be Scrooge McDuck.
The fondle stash is in this box, which has rare earth magnets bolted to it so it can be easily stashed in small, hidden places against a metal object.
Inside the box is a bag full of silver.
Here's what was already in the bag from the last time I added to the stash.
As you can see, most pieces aren't in the greatest condition, but silver is silver.
Here's what I'm adding to the stash now.
More milk-spotted silver.
This 1/4oz Libertad was a carry piece I lost in my car and later found.
I found this Standing Liberty Quarter at my local coin store and grabbed it since it had a legible date on it.
I did some rough math, and this puts me at about 20 ounces of silver I can play with to my heart's content. I'm guessing by the time I get to 30 ounces or more, I'll probably have to make a second box. I don't think the magnets will be able to hold that much weight without running the risk of the box falling if jarred or bumped. Only time will tell.
