I aquired this little 1 oz. bar a few months ago with a purchase along with some other bars. There are some posts about some of those bars before my long absence.
There is something that is attractive about the George Thomas Morgan design of his famous silver dollar designed in 1876. Anna Willess Williams was the model used for that iconic design.
Paying homage to that design, we have the obverse of that infamous coin engraved into the silver bar.
OBVERSE
This particular bar carries the obverse image of the Morgan silver dollar, the weight, silver content, and where it was made engraved into the obverse of the bar.
My camera work back then is terrible, and probably still is to this day, but hopefully I can pick up where I left off and improve on future captures. Leaving it inside the plastic sleeve probably didn't help the image much either.

REVERSE
The reverse is rather disappointing. It is just a cross thatched like looking pattern with no other engravings. To me, this was lots of wasted space in which they could have been more creative with design and maybe expanded on the Morgan theme.

Thats what I have to share for now. I had this and there is one more in my cue from before my going AWOL. I will share it in the coming days.
In the meantime, I have made some recent purchases and will be sorting through those and may share some stuff.
Thanks,
Joe
