Hello Everyone, i hope you are well. Today marks the second consecutive day of me posting another silver coin. This is actually a challenge/initiative that came out from @silverd510 and the gist is to create 12 consecutive posts about silver coins that you would like to receive as a present for Christmas.
After a bit of research I did, I came to the conclusion that I like a little color in the coins. Thus, I discovered not one, not two but actually 3 coins that I would like to receive as gifts and that you will also see tomorrow and the day after, besides today ofc.
All of these coins were created by Scottsdale Mint and feature something relevant to the Japanese culture which I really like. Yesterday, I presented a completely different coin featuring Medusa and Greek Mythology which cost around 220-280 euros. Today I will start with the most expensive of these 3 coins, which is still cheaper than Medusa and can be found at 94$-100$.
This is a Legal Tender in Fiji, a .999 Silver Proof-Like coin that was issued in 2017. In total there are 2500 out there and as you can see it’s inspired by Katsushika Hokusai’s Great Wave of Kanagawa. I don’t know about you but it looks pretty amazing in my eyes and hey it’s more affordable than Medusa, so that’s a start.
I don't know about you but since i discovered colored silver coins, I've been spending hours looking at different designs that exist out there. Thankfully, by doing that i can spot coins that i would like to receive as gifts, even though most likely nobody will gift me a silver coin and i will probably have to buy it or them myself.
Tomorrow i will show you another silver coin that highlights the Japanese culture as well so get ready for it! Before that though, what do you think about this coin? Do you like it? Do you have it? Do you want it? Do you have it and want to gift it to me? :p
