This is looking official enough of a #silvergoldstackers traditional challenge @silverd510 therefore, I will post a few but not all my top 12 items from my various different lists, for posterity. A short but sweet post 🎄

“Black birds tend to like shiny things.” ~ The Bloody Raven.
Starting from my own backyard of Canada, this big silver 5 troy oz. coin was inspired from relatively small confrontation in the world encompassing War of 1812.
The mighty Royal Navy took a back seat to the upstart small navy of her former American colony. The USS Chesapeake was 38 Gun heavy Frigate being smaller than her legendary 44 gun sister ship the USS Constitution. What she lacked in size, the Chesapeake was also built as robust as the Constitution and formidable compared to similar English frigates of that size.

The USS Constitution was in dry dock at the time and the USS Chesapeake was ready for service to take on the HMS Shannon as she continued to block the port’s entry.
The Newspapers even billed the event up akin to a gentlemen's honor duel that was taken in as a social spectacle by the public, a confrontation between two evenly matched frigates in Boston harbor. The home crowd cheers as their Chesapeake sails out to meet the English Shannon. What could possibly go wrong?

This epic 2013 coin is a part of the ‘War of 18🍁12 series.’ I have a related pair of proof specimens of the 2012 HMS Shannon $10 coins and happy to have them. I know @silverd510 has one of these slabbed for his high end collection.
I got to hold this large 2013 Shannon & Chesapeake coin at the local coin show in person but could not afford it’s hefty sticker price demanded for this magnificent piece. If I see it at the show again I may not be able to pass it up. I just hope the premium could come down some more. RCM products do tend to drop a good chunk of their premium after a certain number of years.
The picture just can’t show it well enough. It is wonderful to see this in hand, the fine detail can’t be duplicated on a One ounce sized coin, and the principle reason why this was destined to a 5 ounce sized coin and no less.
May you be blessed this Christmas my friends!
