This is in response to the challenge from @silverd510 to show your favorite coin. The Calico Jack - Jolly Roger skull and crossed swords 1oz silver coin is my current favorite in the stack.
Calico Jack 1oz Silver Coin
The most successful pirates were surely stackers, stories of 'x' marks the spot treasure caches elude to this. Although designed after his time, the skull and crossed swords pirate flag has been assigned to the pirate Calico Jack - Original name captain John Rackham, he was known for plundering small ships in the West Indies. This flag is also known as the Jolly Roger, Governor Woodes Rogers was actually the one assigned to hunt down Calico Jack. This 1oz pure silver 2022 Calico Jack-Jolly Roger coin is produced by the European Mint for New Zealand.
The front side of the coin features the Jolly Roger, on top of a wavy ocean-like wavy lines background. Along the top curve of the coin is the text "CALICO JACK", along the bottom curve is the text "JOLLY ROGER 1OZ 9999 FINE SILVER".
Inbetween the "ROGER", and "1OZ" is a crossed swords, along the outer rim is a repeating wave border design.
The back side of the coin features the head of Queen Elizabeth II, on top of the wavy line patterned background. The text "ELIZABETH II NIUE TWO DOLLARS" is along the top curve of the coin, "2022" is along the bottom.
Although a little rough around the edges, pirates were thought to be solid stackers. A humble 1oz fine silver Calico Jack - Jolly Roger coin, the favorite of my stack so far.
