I received this 1oz silver Tree of Life coin a couple weeks ago, offered by the New Zealand Mint, struck by the Sunshine Mint.
Tree of Life
The Tree of Life, also known as Etz haChayim, is a part of the Jewish Cabalistic system of sacred geometry. The tree represents the template that has been used to draw many of the religious symbols, like the pentacle and the cross, with deeper meaning and the connections with archetypes also being represented.
Tree of Life 1oz Silver Coin
The Nieu Tree of Life 2023 silver coin was released by the New Zealand Mint, and struck by the Sunshine Mint. With a two dollar face value, backed by the New Zealand government, the one Troy ounce weight of .9999 silver is worth much more.
The tree side of this coin features an almond tree to represent the tree of life, the background has satisfying spiral radial lines. Below the tree is the Hebrew text for Yahweh, the god of the Hebrews. Along the lower right curve of the coin is the text "ONE TROY OUNCE .9999 FINE SILVER".
The back side of the coin features the Public Seal of Nieu, an island of New Zealand, with the motto 'Atua, Niue Tukulagi', meaning 'God, Niue Eternally'.
Along the top curve of the coin is the text "TWO DOLLARS", along the bottom curve is the minted year text "2023".
The tree of life representation is a classic design, with it's deep roots, strong trunk, and healthy branches, a fine silver coin for the stack.
