I recently picked up an Asahi Refining 1oz silver American Reserve round - flanked by a pair of Asahi silver logo round backs in the cover photo.
Asahi Refining
Asahi Refining is based out of Salt Lake City, Utah, USA - the American Reserve is their new brand of silver bullion rounds and bars. Asahi formed in 1952 with the Asahi Holdings purchase of the Johnson Matthey Gold & Silver Refining.
American Reserve Silver
This 1oz pure American Reserve silver round was minted by Asahi Refining. These American Reserve branded rounds come with a guarantee that the silver used to mint them was mined in the USA only, in an effort to preserve the American mining precious metals industry tradition.
The front side of the round features an encircled American Reserve logo on a rock-like background. Along the top curve of the round is the text "American Reserve", with a cross pick axe logo inbetween the two words. Along the bottom curve of the round is the text "999 FINE SILVER
1OZ".
The reverse side of the round features a USA symbol, a bald eagle - perched on a branch, on top of a mirrored background. The texture of the silver of the eagle's head and tail give them a white appearance.
Along the top curve of the round is the text "MINED & MADE IN AMERICA". The Asahi Refining logo mint mark can be seen on the branch, on the right side of the round.
Asahi Refining has great quality silver and gold bullion products and designs. I like the looks of their mined in American Reserve rounds, fine silver additions to the stack.
