Once again it has been many moons since we've convened here. :) Some fun appears to have been had in the interim. First off, we had our FIRST MONSTER RAFFLE since migrating the community to Hive. Special thanks to @buggedout for organizing everything. His attention to detail and dedication to fairness/transparency made the event a smashing success. Thanks also to the 21 individuals who donated a total of 48 ounces of silver to the event. Your generosity is noticed and appreciated. In case you missed it, @fat-elvis was the BIG winner on the day. With 4 or 5 ticket draws in his favor, Fat-E went home with 13 ounces of silver! (I still have to mail him one of his prizes).
Speaking of @fat-elvis... he and @thedamus had their own little SGS meetup in Vancouver, BC the day of the Monster Raffle! So fun. If you haven't met up with anyone on the Hive blockchain I 10/10 recommend.
In meetup news, it's time to start planning for Las Vegas 2024! Folks from the Silver Gold Stackers community will be gathering for the third year in a row this coming March 15-17th. Check out this post from @summertooth for details. I already have my accommodation booked. The last two years 2022 & 2023 were tons of fun. Would love to see YOU there.
Membership
@gwajnberg (@ rantree on Discord) has been nominated into our community by @thekittygirl with a second from @bitcoinman. This coin loving Canadian transplant is very active in the community discord. Although much of his own coin collection is back home in Brazil, @gwajnberg's love of coins is easy to see.
Our second new member is @trautenberk. Nominated by @bitcoinman and seconded by @thebighigg, @trautenberk posts lovely coins from his collection every few days. He is a new silver stacker (but long time coin collector) with a self proclaimed commitment to buying 4 ounces of silver each month. So far his choices are lovely! Pandas... Britannias... Krugerrands... so much goodness.

Becoming a Member
- Post about and be interested in collecting precious metals (silver/gold).
- Comment on pm posts made by other Hive users
- Find current members via our tags ( #silvergoldstackers for precious metals posts or #sgslife for non metals related member posts), our community page and our discord. Get to know us and we will get to know you.
- Get nominated to the community by a current member. ( @vgholdingsllc posts a membership nomination post most weeks. This is the post where we nominate and second new stackers into the community.)
- Receive a second from another community member.
- Membership nominations are reviewed and either approved or denied by the community mods. (Current mod is @dfinney.)
- Reap the rewards of community support and friendship.
Current Member List
Below is the up to date list of our current members. You may remember in my last post that I mentioned removing folks from the list who are inactive on Hive. Well... the names have been removed (after checking them all again.) A couple people stayed on the list for various reasons, but while these folks may have been silent stackers for awhile... most have posted or commented on something in the past year. As always, if someone returns they will always be welcomed back.
PS - Alphabetizing the member list is always a bit cumbersome. If I messed something up (spelling, deleting someone that is actually still active) please let me know. I mess up sometimes too. :)

This account is run on both Hive and Steem. If you have questions about delegating, subscriptions via liquid hive or steem or have "missed a vote", please reach out directly to @buggedout (Hive) or @welshstacker (Steem) on discord. In order to promote interest in the community, the @ssg-community account will occasionally support others on the blockchain sharing about precious metals
The @myprecious account supports all members without a delegation or tag requirement.
Sorry I have been fairly inactive on the blockchain lately. There is a lot of "life" happening in my little corner of the world. Please give me a tag (@dfinney) or reach out on discord for a speedier response.
