Every now and then, something truly special finds its way into the stack—and this time, it’s personal. I managed to pick up number 2 in a very limited run of hand-poured 2.8oz silver hexagons from the one and only Toxic Bullion, crafted by @raybrockman before he left us. And let me tell you, this piece is nothing short of stunning.
The weight alone—2.8 troy ounces—feels incredibly satisfying in the hand. But it’s not just the mass that makes it special. It’s the artistry. Each hexagon in the run was hand-poured, not struck or machined. That means no two pieces are exactly alike, each one marked by its own subtle character, pour lines, and textured finish. The result? A piece that’s as much art as bullion.
Number 2 of the series makes it all the more meaningful to me. There’s something about owning a low-numbered pour in a limited series that speaks to the collector in all of us. It connects you to the maker, the process, and the story behind it all. In this case, it’s a tribute to a much-respected figure in the silver community.
@raybrockman poured more than silver—he poured passion, precision, and personality into every piece he made. His work with Toxic Bullion has left a legacy that continues to resonate with collectors and stackers alike. If you ever had the chance to grab one of his pours, you know exactly what I mean.
I find myself wondering how many others from the #silvergoldstackers community managed to pick up one of these hexagons before they disappeared into private collections forever. They’re more than just silver—they’re time capsules from a chapter in our community that we won’t see again.
Whether you’re stacking for weight, investing for the future, or collecting for the love of craftsmanship, pieces like this remind us why we’re all here. This hexagon isn’t just a lump of metal—it’s a memory, a tribute, and a testament to the hands that made it.
To those lucky enough to own one: hold it close.
To those who missed out: keep your eyes open—Toxic Bullion pours don’t come around often, and when they do, they never stick around for long.
