In the world of precious metals, it’s often the story behind the silver that makes a piece truly priceless. For me, that story is captured perfectly in my three-piece hand-poured Steem silver set, poured by none other than the legendary @pit-bullion. While each individual bar and round is a stunning piece in its own right, it’s the set as a whole that carries a deeper meaning — not just for me, but for many of us who’ve journeyed from the early days of Steemit to the thriving Hive community we now call home.
This set consists of a 1oz round, a 2oz bar, and a 5oz bar — all bearing the distinctive Steemit logo of three wavy lines, the word “steem,” and the year 2018 stamped with pride. Each piece also shares the same mintage number: 7, marking them forever as a matching set from a limited run of just 15. For stackers like us, that kind of rarity and unity is the dream — a tangible reminder of the early days when our community was still finding its voice and identity.
But beyond the silver itself lies something even more precious: the memory of connection. While some choose to remember the messy fork that led to Hive’s creation — and understandably so — I prefer to hold onto the good. Steemit brought us together, gave us a space to share, stack, and support one another. It was a different time, yes — full of learning curves, crazy experiments, and more than a few hiccups — but those moments formed the foundation of something much stronger.
This set doesn’t just represent silver weight in my stack. It represents the shared history of two chains, a tribute to where we came from, and a symbol of how we’ve grown. Hive is now bursting with life, creativity, and resilience — but for many of us, the spirit of collaboration that began on Steemit still flows through every post, every upvote, and every ounce of poured silver we collect.
So here’s to the early days, the good people we met along the way, and to the art of pouring not just silver, but meaning into metal. @pit-bullion did just that with this set — and I’m proud to have it as part of my stack and my story.
