Fancy Shmansy lounging like a Crypto millionaire
Well... not exactly. That's a bit of an overstatement, but being a fiat spender does have some perks sometimes. Back in the day when I was operating a fiat mining rig 5 days a week, I was producing fiat blocks every two weeks and putting my business expenses on my personal credit card. It was a lot easier to pay for business trips upfront and put in my reimbursement request as soon as I got the invoice for my plane ticket. Because of that, I was spending a few thousand dollars a month on my credit card and the issuing bank loved that, so they upgraded my American Express to something or other.
I can now have access to free toast and cold coffee at some airports. Nah, just kidding, they usually have pretty decent food and snacks.
My layover is 7 hours so I can't say these comfy lounge chairs won't come in handy in a few minutes.
As a matter of fact, let me show you how I'm lounging way in the back with my feet up.
Getting all my paperwork in order
In case you've got a Murican, Canadian, English or European passport, you are welcome almost anywhere in the world. Lucky you! It's like a Multi-Pass. For a lot of us living in other parts of Central and South America, Mexican officials ask a few more questions when entering the country. They want to make sure you're not planning to make your way to the United States. So right now is a good time to have all my airline tickets, AirBnb reservations, a letter of invitation to the event that @eddiespino was kind enough to help us write and of course, my totally legitimate ticket to Talent Land in case they ask.
I looked up this years ticket design.
And with a little bit of magic, I got tickets for everybody.
Some say the "hive asere" domain is a giveaway, but they don't know what they're talking about. This looks totally legit. I even got the pricing right.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get this ticket to @manuphotos in time and he was forced to use his Cuban rizz with the immigration lady.
It's all in the eyes.
Getting an airport beer
That's right folks! it's #beersaturday and just because we're traveling doesn't mean we are going to skip beerday! No sir, not a chance! The airport has plenty of sports bars with Costa Rican appeal where I can gladly have a cerveza or two while I wait for my flight. I'm meeting some HIVE friends today and that is reason enough to celebrate.
Cheers everybody!
My next report will be with the boys.
