It is my observation from 66 yrs of life, that what we call love, is really
INFATUATION or
Lust or simply a
Desire for control.
Our western/European culture has ingrained in us that we can really be
"struck by lightning", pierced through the heart by 'cupids arrow', when in fact,
Deep Friendship almost always precedes real love.
The deep, abiding love between two people is learned, from trust and
shared experience.
All these other "movie ideals" of love are shallow
And rarely last, often ending in acrimony and discord.
The world does not need more of that.
Just my thoughts.
Falling In Love
You can fall in love with a voice, a
Perfume or a
Smile.
You can fall in love with words that
Someone gives you in a poem,
Or in a whisper or
You can fall in
Love with a small gesture.
We fall in love
With the idea of love; it
Takes so very
Little for our hearts to do it!
So why don’t we have more love
In our lives and our world?
Good Question.
