As you know, a brand new event called Trliste's Colors Challenge has been started since the beginning of this week. First of all, I would like to thank @princeofbeyhive who contributed to start such an event and all my friends who will participate in. In this way, I hope that the number of posts in our community, which has decreased in recent weeks, will increase again. I chose Technology as this week's topic. You can access the event's post here.

Bildiğiniz gibi bu hafta başında, Trliste’nin Renkleri adında yepyeni bir etkinlik başladı. Öncelikle böyle bir etkinliğin başlamasında emeği geçen @princeofbeyhive ve katılacak tüm arkdaşlara şimdiden teşekkür ederim. Böylelikle, topluluğumuzda son haftalarda azalan yazı sayısının tekrar artmış olacağını umuyorum. Ben bu haftanın konusu olarak Teknolojiyi seçtim. Etkinliğin yazısına buradan ulaşabilirsiniz.
Undoubtedly, technology is a part of our lives today. Technology permeates almost every aspect of our lives. The best example of this is the smart phones that we keep in our hands and use for hours every day. A life without technology seems not possible any longer. We have been so used to technology that we realize how our lives become ordinary when our technological products such as mobile phones, computers and televisions break down. Especially, when a smart phone breaks down, it feels like we are disconnected from the world.
Şüphesiz ki teknoloji artık bugün hayatımızın bir parçası. Teknoloji hemen hemen hayatımızın her noktasına nüfuz ediyor. Bunu en güzel örneği hergün elimizden düşürmediğimiz ve saatlerce kullandığımız akıllı telefonlar. Teknolojisiz bir hayat artık pek de mümkün değil gibi. Teknoojiye o kadar alışmışız ki sahip olduğumuz cep telefonu, bilgisayar, televizyon gibi teknolojik ürünler bozulduğunda hayatımızın ne kadar da sıradanlaştığını fark ediyoruz. Özellikle akıllı cep telefonu bozulduğunda, insan sanki dünyadan kopmuş gibi oluyor.
Besides commercial profit, I think technology emerged to make people's lives easier and to offer people a more comfortable life. Today, traveling from one end of the world to the other has become possible thanks to technology, or communicating with a person far away both in writing and voice. Although it has been popular after the pandemic, remote working and education are possible and became permanent thanks to technology. Our cars, the houses we live in, and our household goods have become more developed and modernized. We can say even more examples. Well, has technology always benefited us, has it always taken us forward? I can't say 100% yes to the answer of this question.
Ticari kar amacının yanında, teknolojinin insanların hayatını kolaylaştırmak için ve insanlara daha rahat bir yaşam sunmak için ortaya çıktığını düşünüyorum. Bugün dünyanın bir ucundan diğer ucuna gitmek teknoloji sayesinde mümkün oldu, ya da çok uzaklardaki bir kişiyle gerek yazılı gerekse sesli iletişim kurmak. Her ne kadar pandeminden sonra ortaya çıksa da uzaktan çalışma ve eğitim teknoloji sayesinde yapılabildi ve kalıcı oldu. Arabalarımız, içinde yaşadığımız evlerimiz, ev eşyalarımız daha da gelişti ve modernleşti. Bu örnekleri daha da arttırabiliriz. Peki, teknolojinin bize hep faydası mı oldu, bizi hep ileriye mi götürdü? Bu sorunun cevabına %100 evet diyemem.
In my opinion, one of the biggest disadvantages of technology is that it causes disruption in personal and social relationships. Again, I will emphasize the pandemic period. During the lockdowns during the pandemic period, people needed technological products more to spend the time. As a natural result of this, they have got used to spending time alone or with fewer people. So, being lonely or living alone has become normal. Today, even though they are in the same environment, it is quite possible to see that people do not talk to each other and are busy with the phones in their hands.
Bana göre teknolojinin en büyük dezavantajlarından birisi, kişisel ve toplumsal ilişkilerdeki bozulmaya neden olmasıdır. Yine pandemi dönemine vurgu yapacağım. İnsanlar pandemi dönemindeki kapanmalarda, zaman geçirebilmek için tekonolojik ürünlere daha fazla ihtiyaç duydu. Bunun doğal sonucu olarak tek başına veya daha az kişiyle zaman geçirmeye alıştılar. Yani yalnızlaşmak ya da yalnız yaşamak normalleşti. Bugün, aynı ortamda olmarına rağmen, insanların birbirleriyle konuşmadığı, ellerindeki telefonla meşgul olduklarını görmek gayet mümkün.
Our character and relationships have changed very quickly, particularly after smartphones integrated with social media. Everyone is number one on their social media profile. I always see them trying effort to show and prove something to others. Even if we are not happy, we pretend to be happy there :) We cannot comfortably eat the food that comes in front of us in a restaurant, we have to take photos and share them first. Behaviors that we would find very stupid 5-10 years ago are now done for the sake of gaining likes and followers on social media.
Özellikle akıllı telefonların sosyal medya ile entegre olmasından sonra karakterimiz ve ilişkilerimiz çok hızlı bir şekilde değişti. Herkes kendi sosyal medya profilinde bir numara. İnsanları hep başkalarına birşeyler gösterme ve ispat etme çabası görüyorum. Mutlu değilsek de orda mutlu gibi yapıyoruz :) Bir restorantta önümüze gelen yemeği rahat rahat yiyemiyoruz, önce fotoğraf çekip paylaşmalıyız. 5-10 yıl önce çok salakça bulacağımız davranışlar bugün sosyal medyada beğeni ve takipçi kazanmak uğruna yapılır hale geldi.
There is also the artificial intelligence side of technology. We have heard it frequently in recent years. The last news I watched is that it can make videos from written text and photos. This surprised me very much. Let's see what will happen in the future. It will certainly take our jobs in some business sectors, but I hope it doesn't go any further.
Bir de teknolojinin yapay zeka tarafı var. Son yıllarda sıkça duyar olduk. En son izlediğim haber yazılı metin ve fotoğraflardan video yapabilmesi. Bu beni çok şaşırttı. Bakalım ilerde neler olacak. Bazı iş sektörlerinde işimizi elimizden alacağı kesin de umarım daha da ileriye gitmez.
Last, technology is a unique opportunity for all of us. When we use it correctly and beneficially for ourselves, it will always take us one step further.
