Recently, we were on a family outing at the city zoo. It was a sunny day, very nice, and pleasant and all energies were dedicated to spending the moment in the best possible way.
Some time ago, @doriangel shared about this park, the animals, the zipline, and the general atmosphere of the place, it was a good post. I had no intention of sharing about this place during this visit, so I just dedicated myself to showing my nephew about the animals and teaching him what the sounds they made.
As we walked around I noticed that the place had changed from the last time I was there. Some cages are being rearranged, others are being expanded a bit and of course, others are being made for perhaps future new guests. Some animals have been moved, others are gone, and some places, like a well-known soda fountain, are no longer operating and are closed to the public.
Well, after the animals, we arrived at one of the most representative places. The third waterfall of the Chorros de Milla Zoo. To get to this waterfall you have to cross the park from end to end, fortunately, you will find many things and animals to distract you on the way.
This waterfall is known as Tibisay Waterfall. In honor of an ancient Indian princess who was known as Tibisay. According to the legend written by an illustrious writer representative of the city of Merida, Tulio Febres Cordero, tells us that at that time when the Spanish explorers were recognizing new places, an inevitable fight was about to begin against the locals.
"A brave cacique named Murachí, encouraged his men who would soon enter into battle, in this scene, they would meet the Indian Tibisay, Murachí's beloved. Tibisay was the princess of the Indians of the Sierra, the most beautiful lily of the meadows of the Mucujún She, by request of Murachí, would join with dances and songs to exalt the spirit of the warriors. She had a voice that would impress anyone and unlike her companions, she knew the war songs better"
"Tibisay and Murachí's farewell was at the end of the war ritual. The cacique told Tibisay that if she returned triumphant from the battle, they would marry. But, if she died in the battle he asked her to flee and hide from the invaders, if they caught her, they would make her a slave..."

The waterfall has a very beautiful history, a memory of this land, a legend. Therefore, it is a place that is very common to visit. The beauty of the place, covered with huge mountains makes the place very peaceful. Ideal for a weekend with the family.
You can listen to the sound of the waterfall and how relaxing it can be. Of course, we are in times of drought which has reduced its cause notoriously. But, its beauty is indisputable.
I took it upon myself to go over the railing and cross the river to show something else. Before, I guess when the times were very similar to the present, people used to go inside the small cave to have another point of view of the place, to meditate, to spend time with some friends, with good company, or with some love.
When I recorded the place and photographed it, it was inevitable for me to think that maybe tomorrow, many of these places will no longer be appreciated again. So, in search of preserving those memories I am sharing this post.
First hand, the place shows me what the flow of this river can be like and it is no wonder that during the rainy season, the waterfalls are off-limits to the public. The rock has been eroded, maybe the man had something to do with it. But, the walls are so smooth and even slippery.
The graffiti and messages have been erased over time, this also had to be documented, although I could have taken better pictures, you can notice something very interesting.
One Laury is in two love forever messages. If you guys know any of these guys would you show this to them?
Very naughty that Laury the Rock has witnessed a history of love and heartbreak that only she can remember. I once did this, at a school desk, I was declaring my love to a girl I liked. When I finished writing my message, my teacher scolded me and forced me to erase the message, it took me a long time to remove it because it was with indelible ink marker. Well, I can't regret having made the attempt jajaj.
And, it is very curious how history has moved on and that feeling continues to be embodied from generation to generation. First with the Indian Tibisay, who portrayed her love for Murachí in the form of a majestic waterfall, and then in the young people of our time (like Laury) who know, conscious or not of this story, continue to profess their love for others on the same rock, where the waterfall of Tibisay is born.
