We know that our service should had been launched. But on the original date, we had not finished everything. Especially a new feature was not launchable. That is why we shifted the launch and we come slowly to a point, where it can be published!
New Feature – Content/Account Searching
The idea came up as a team member tried to find an account, he was interested in. He searched about 20 Minutes to find it. So, he wasted 20 Minutes of his lifetime because he did not remember the spelling even though the pronunciation was clear. Now our team member does not have to waste his worthy time since we found a solution for this kind of problem: our new Account Search-Engine. Every Name is indexed in a database and is findable with only fragments of the name. So, we had implemented a search-engine for accounts and us came another idea: If we already have coded a search algorithm, we can also use it for content searching.
This is not intended as a competitor to Hive-Searcher. Their awesome project stays the best when it comes to finding concrete posts. Our engine is much rougher because you can only find topic-related posts. For example, if you search for a sheep on Hive-Searcher, you get only posts containing the word “sheep”. In contrast, our engine interprets your keyword and returns stuff that relates to it.
New Design
We also redesigned our whole website. It is much simpler to use now because everything happens on the first site. Later, we will share pictures…
We also did some bug fixes and other small stuff like network improvements and so on. As soon as we hold a launchable version, we will launch. Stay tuned it does not take long anymore…
