OPEN HIVE POLLS
This is an open source and decentralized polling system funded by the Hive DAO.
It uses HAF on its backend and is presently supported by a couple of the larger blogs like @peakd and @ecency.

Last week the backend developer finished the work to support new methods to interpret votes... this means accounts still vote but the way their vote is counted can be different. This is particularly of interest to sub-communities within the Hive blockchain community.
Of note we used another open source Peak Open project to handle the job and payments
https://genie.peakd.com/ which also helps make sure we are being good stewards of the funds given by the Hive community.
You can already interpret votes by:
- Per account
- Weighted by HP (staked HIVE)
NEW: Now you can interpret the vote by:
- Weighted by staked SPS in Splinterlands in-game wallet
- Weighted by liquid Hive-Engine tokens
- Weighted by staked Hive-Engine tokens

It checks the Splinterlands API on a recurring basis to get the balances of voting accounts. You can see that a poll viewer can also change the way they personally want to interpret the results of the poll and still see Votes by accounts and votes by HP as well.
WHICH HIVE ENGINE TOKENS?
Though any token is possible (and the underlying decentralized polls system supports all of them), the HIVE ENGINE tokens that PeakD will start support for are the ones we expect to have the most action. We are open to remove if some don't get used (we can look at history) and we are willing to add some if a community is wanting to use polls for their token. Please reach out to the PeakD team
