Updated API Documentation
- While working with @inleo (@leofinance) team, we found couple of gaps in documentation.
- We addressed those gaps & update documentation.
- Sometimes, some videos are encoded by SpkNetworks infrastructure.
- In such cases, array of beneficiaries stays empty.
- Such example was missing in the documentation.
- We updated the document & provided both example.
Rollback changes
- In previous pull request, we merged 2 changes.
- 2nd change was - video-encoding will be triggered by executing
update_infoAPI. - @eddiespino & @good-karma reported that, there are users who are facing issues with this new changes.
- It came to my knowledge that, only after video is published, @ecency invokes
update_info. - So, due to this, none of the video, uploaded from @ecency, were getting encoded.
- Now, this is a critical issues, impacting userbase of @ecency.
- So, I took immediate action after realising the impact.
- After reverting needed changes, I raised PR & merged it to main.
- I also re-deployed 3speak-creator-studio.
- After these, it looks like we have no complains from @ecency platform.
Android App issues
- Google has sent us warning regarding setting the minimum API Level.
- This warning comes with a deadline 31-Aug-2024
- At the moment, whole android-code-base is in non-compilable state.
- We are facing several compilation issues.
- There are packages which are causing issues.
- Flutter SDK has also changed a lot recently causing packages to become incompatible with current codebase.
- We've tried to address this issue & ship a new release but we couldn't today.
- We'll focus on this next week & ship a new release soon.
Updates: Video Encoder Nodes
- I'm running 12 powerful video encoder nodes for 3Speak Community Members.
- Monthly internet bandwidth usage which exceeds 15 TB, Maintenance cost, Electricity backup, Internet backup, Depreciation cost - it's all on me.
- On 2024-08-17, 3Speak published total 182 videos.
- My video encoder nodes encoded 141 videos from 182 videos published.
- It means, my encoder nodes encoded 77.47 % of total videos published on 2024-08-17
