Brief about Skate Hype

Skate Hype is a Skateboarders Social Network and Video platform available as Web, Android app and iOS.

Main target

Be an alternative to YouTube and Instagram so that our data is not tracked and used to manipulate us politically and socially
Provide much better video quality, especially for SD videos (VX1000, ...), providing support if needed
Redirect money from mainstream video platforms to the world of skateboarding

Having achieved 1 and 2, we have recently focused on number 3 using Hive in three ways:

Best content of the platform is rewarded by our custom Hive Curation Trail. Server select best content based on social interaction (upvotes, comments,...) and automatically post in Skate Hype community and upvoted. This is necessary so that the rewards are approximately equal for all and avoid a good trick being rewarded with $0.5 and a bad trick with $2. Rewards must be based on Skateboarding not in friendship (for this app)
Filmers must be rewarded, skate video is a culture in Skateboarding, we created a pay HBD per view service called Extra Filmer Rewards
Contests, we used to run contests to reward the best tricks, such as Cash For Tricks. Now we are working on a fully automated Best Trick of the Week.

Skate Hype is progressively being backed on Lbry blockchain to create a full decentralized backup of content:

Decentralization plans could include a full content backup to Hive-Lbry blockchains to have a secondary server or a failsafe server.
