Nuevamente @eldiariodelys ha propuesto una iniciativa genial. Ella en su post comenta qué es el apego y cómo son sus diferentes tipos. Es una información muy importante para comprender cómo nos relacionamos y la manera en que formamos vínculos afectivos con el otro, bien sea amigos, familiares o pareja. Por ello he decidido unirme a la iniciativa para compartir mis reflexiones al respecto 💞
Once again @eldiariodelys has proposed a great initiative. In her post she comments on what attachment is and what its different types are like. It is a very important information to understand how we relate and the way in which we form emotional bonds with others, such as friends, family or partners. That is why I have decided to join the initiative to share my reflections on the matter 💞
Considero que esto depende de las condiciones de la relación. Una persona puede tener diferentes tipos de apego para distintas relaciones puesto que la manera en que cada una de éstas se desarrolla suele variar, por lo que las condiciones no serán las mismas.
Por ejemplo, en mi caso pienso que en mi relación con mi hermano del medio existe un apego seguro, ambos respetamos el espacio del otro sabiendo que puede pasar cierto tiempo sin comunicación pero que al momento de darse, será tan tranquila y agradable como siempre. También comprendemos que cada uno tiene su límite, con cosas que le molestan y otras que no, por lo que existe el respeto de no molestar al otro. También de escucharnos cuando lo necesitamos y que simplemente el amor está, aunque cada quien ande haciendo su vida por su lado.
El mismo tipo de apego seguro se presenta, al menos para mí, en la relación con mis amigos más cercanos. Puede que no salgamos mucho o que no hablemos todos los días, pero cuando nos encontramos la amistad, amor y confianza sigue siendo el mismo, así como sé que cuando lo necesite puedo buscarlos como ayuda o apoyo.
I consider that this depends on the conditions of the relationship. A person can have different types of attachment for different relationships since the way in which each of these develops usually varies, so the conditions will not be the same.
For example, in my case I think that in my relationship with my middle brother there is a secure attachment, we both respect each other's space knowing that some time may pass without communication but that when it happens, it will be as calm and pleasant as ever. We also understand that each person has their own limits, with things that bother them and others that don't, so there is respect to not bother the other. Also to listen to each other when we need it and that love is simply there, even if each one of us is doing their life on their own.
The same type of secure attachment occurs, at least for me, in my relationships with my closest friends. We may not go out much or talk every day, but when we meet the friendship, love and trust remains the same, just as I know that when I need it I can look to them for help or support.
Sin embargo, sé que con la mayoría de personas suelo presentar un apego evitativo puesto que sí deseo involucrarme emocionalmente pero no demasiado. Prefiero tener cierta distancia puesto que simplemente no me siento cómoda con demasiada cercanía o demanda de atención constante. Por ahí he visto personas que dicen ser «un gato negro» y pienso que esa analogía de ser «independiente como un gato» encaja perfectamente en lo distante que es éste tipo de apego.
Para mí es querer muchísimo a una persona, pero mantener un margen puesto que necesito mi propio espacio y soledad por determinado tiempo. Necesito intimidad pero no en exceso, por lo que lo buscaré cuando lo desee y me apartaré un poquito cuando necesite mi espacio propio.
No es que no quiera estar, solo que necesito también estar sola de vez en cuando.
However, I know that with most people I tend to have an avoidant attachment since I do want to get emotionally involved but not too much. I prefer to have some distance since I simply don't feel comfortable with too much closeness or demand for constant attention. I have seen people who say they are “a black cat” and I think that this analogy of being “independent like a cat” fits perfectly with how distant this type of attachment is.
For me it means loving a person very much, but maintaining a margin since I need my own space and solitude for a certain time. I need intimacy but not excessively, so I will seek it when I want it and I will move away a little when I need my own space.
It's not that I don't want to be, I just need to be alone from time to time.
Sí, especialmente con familiares. La mayoría tienen apego ansioso y cuando éste se junta a poca regulación emocional puede llegar a ser un desastre. El apego ansioso necesita una atención constante y yo, al ser evitativa, todo lo contrario. Por esto en la mayoría de ocasiones puedo parecer distante pero no es porque no me importe mi familiar sino que simplemente no necesito estar 24/7 encima de esta persona para demostrar afecto.
Por supuesto si la otra persona no entiende su tipo de apego ni el mío, puede llegar a malinterpretar las cosas. Es cuestión de explicarlo y tener una conversación abierta respecto a las necesidades de cada quien. Pueden llegarse a acuerdos donde ambas partes cedan un poco para tener una relación más equilibrada, comprendiendo las necesidades y límites del otro así como las propias.
Yes, especially with family members. Most have anxious attachment and when this is combined with poor emotional regulation it can become a disaster. Anxious attachment needs constant attention and I, being avoidant, do the opposite. For this reason, on most occasions I can seem distant, but it is not because I do not care about my family member, but rather I simply do not feel the need to be so into this person 24/7 to show affection.
Of course, if the other person doesn't understand her or my type of attachment, they may misinterpret things. It's a matter of explaining it and having an open conversation regarding each person's needs. Agreements can be reached where both parties give in a little to have a more balanced relationship, understanding the needs and limits of the other as well as their own.
Resulta que es el mismo caso que con mi familia, él de apego ansioso y yo evitativo. Al principio puede ser estresante puesto que hay mucha demanda de atención que a mí me cuesta dar. No hubo problemas por esto, pero sí fue difícil acostumbrarme al principio a que debía ceder un poco y demostrar más claramente mi atención y aprecio por él.
Creo que lo más probable es que a él también le costara darme a mi mis espacios, pero como dije en la pregunta anterior, todo es cuestión de hablarlo, comprenderlo y llegar a acuerdos para mantener un equilibrio en la relación. Yo ahora sé que debo dar un poco más, como por ejemplo palabras de afirmación o simplemente estar más presente, de manera de poder asegurarle aquello que necesita ser reafirmado, porque simplemente esa es su estructura de apego.

Es importante entender que el apego ansioso y el evitativo no están ni bien ni mal, simplemente son. El apego se genera con aquellos primeros contactos con las personas que cuidaron de nosotros y esto puede haberse visto influenciado por muchísimos factores. Cada quien genera una estructura que le permite ser funcional, es cuestión de adaptarse para que sea regulada y equilibrada, así como comprender que en las relaciones hay que cambiar un poco para el bienestar del vínculo con el otro.
It is important to understand that anxious and avoidant attachment are neither right nor wrong, they just are. Attachment is generated with those first contacts with the people who took care of us and this may have been influenced by many factors. Each person generates a structure that allows them to be functional, it is a matter of adapting so that it is regulated and balanced, as well as understanding that in relationships you have to change a little for the well-being of the bond with the other person.
