Hola amigos de Womentribe!! Hoy les quiero compartir un poco sobre esa sensación de nostalgia que a muchos nos invade en estas fechas. Si bien,el mes de Diciembre es una época llena de luces, celebraciones y momentos especiales. También, nos puede traer un poco de nostalgia. Particularmente, en estas fechas siempre recuerdo a mis abuelos y otros seres queridos que ya no están y esos momentos con ellos compartidos que han quedado para siempre en nuestro corazón. Es natural sentir melancolía, y hay formas de encarar esos sentimientos y disfrutar de las festividades. Aquí te comparto algunos consejos para que puedas pasar mejor estas fechas:
1.Permítete Sentir: Es importante reconocer y aceptar tus emociones. La nostalgia es una parte normal de la vida, así que no te sientas mal por sentirla. Permítete recordar y reflexionar sobre esos momentos especiales, para darle paso a los nuevos momentos que vivirás en el nuevo año que está por comenzar.
2.Crea Nuevas Tradiciones: En lugar de enfocarte solo en lo que has perdido, considera la posibilidad de crear nuevas tradiciones, con los amigos, familiares o también puedes disfrutar tú solo e comenzar una nueva tradición . Ya sea cocinar una receta familiar, hacer una manualidad o planear una salida con amigos, estas nuevas experiencias pueden ayudarte a llenar ese vacío que sientes.
3. Conéctate con Otros: Compartir tus sentimientos con amigos o familiares puede ser muy reconfortante. Organiza reuniones, videollamadas si tus amigos o familiares se encuentran en otro pais; también puedes conversar con alguien que comprenda lo que sientes. La conexión humana es un gran antídoto contra la nostalgia.
4.Dedica un Momento a Recordar: Si hay personas que extrañas, considera dedicar un momento especial para recordarlas. Puedes encender una vela, escribir una carta o simplemente reflexionar sobre los buenos momentos que compartieron. Esto puede ayudarte a honrar su memoria de una manera positiva.
5.Enfócate en el Presente: Practica la atención plena y disfruta de los pequeños momentos que te ofrece estas fechas. Ya sea un paseo para ver por las luces navideñas en la ciudad, disfrutar de una taza de chocolate caliente, un té o café, escuchar villancicos, sumérgete en el aquí y el ahora.
6.Haz Algo por los Demás: A veces, ayudar a otros puede ser una forma poderosa de combatir la nostalgia. Considera hacer trabajo voluntario, donar a una causa que te importe o simplemente ofrecer tu colaboración para envolver regalos de los niños en alguna institución de caridad o iglesia.
Enfrentar la nostalgia durante estas fechas puede ser un desafío, pero también es una oportunidad para honrar nuestros recuerdos y crear nuevos momentos significativos. Particularly, at this time of the year I always remember my grandparents and other loved ones who are no longer with us and those moments we shared with them that have remained forever in our hearts. It is natural to feel melancholy, and there are ways to deal with those feelings and enjoy the holidays. Here are some tips to help you get through the holidays:
1.Allow Yourself to Feel: It's important to acknowledge and accept your emotions. Homesickness is a normal part of life, so don't feel bad about it. Allow yourself to remember and reflect on those special moments, to give way to the new moments that you will live in the new year that is about to begin.
2.Create New Traditions: Instead of focusing only on what you have lost, consider creating new traditions, with friends, family or you can also enjoy yourself and start a new tradition. Whether it's cooking a family recipe, making a craft or planning an outing with friends, these new experiences can help you fill that void you feel.
3. Connect with Others: Sharing your feelings with friends or family can be very comforting. Organize get-togethers, video calls if your friends or family are in another country; you can also talk to someone who understands what you are feeling. Human connection is a great antidote to homesickness.
4.Take a Moment to Remember: If there are people you miss, consider taking a special moment to remember them. You can light a candle, write a letter or simply reflect on the good times you shared. This can help you honor their memory in a positive way.
5.Focus on the Present: Practice mindfulness and enjoy the small moments this holiday season has to offer. Whether it's a walk to look at the Christmas lights in town, enjoying a cup of hot chocolate, tea or coffee, listening to Christmas carols, immerse yourself in the here and now.
6.Do Something for Others: Sometimes helping others can be a powerful way to combat homesickness. Consider volunteering, donating to a cause you care about, or simply offering to help wrap children's gifts at a charity or church.
Facing nostalgia during this time of year can be a challenge, but it is also an opportunity to honor our memories and create new meaningful moments. By allowing ourselves to feel, connect with others and focus on the present, we can transform melancholy into gratitude and joy. Remember that every emotion has its place and by sharing and celebrating, we can find comfort and hope in this season.
