It’s a new week and I like to start at a promising pace. What about you?
What does Monday mean to you, the roughest day or the day to set the pace for a new beginning and a promising one?
For authors (here on Hive), in particular, this can mean being able to start the Monday with a write-up.
For the curators, this means finding more articles to curate.
However, just as Mondays can be a good day to set the pace for the week, it can also be a day of complacency. Either it’s because of low pay or having to face the new boss who thinks you always do a shitty job on Mondays or come to work late.
It could be any of these and many more, other things we tell ourselves just to feel pity for ourselves for not working as effectively as possible.
I know it’s the day after Sunday, which is a resting time for many people. And many people spend most of this time in nightclubs and parties. This doesn’t mean you still can’t have a productive Monday.
Just as you may have guessed. I’m trying to set my pace for the week by motivating myself to write and publish this post because last week's was a very busy week for me and this week will not be easy either, but then I don’t have to complain.
It’s either I do what is needed right here, right now, and forget about not having a ready-made image for my post. Which is why I used the FreecomplimentS cover. I hope it’s not an offense. I will source it at the end of this post.
This emotional shift can be very hard to handle for many people. Some hours ago you were just having fun with friends, and now you have to write a 500+ blog post or have to make sure you submit your CV for a new job. Whatever it may be, don’t see Tuesday or any other day to set the pace for your week.
The best time to make the best out of our week is to start sharp and straight into the Monday groove.
Zero fucks given
Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean you should overwork yourself. I’m a friend of work, but Mondays aren’t only for work but another starting point to define how your week will be.
This is why having a planned week on Mondays is the best option anyone can opt for whenever the Monday moon looks dark and gloomy.
Many misquotes Monday and think it’s the only day of the week when you get to be as productive as you can without making plans for the other days.
Personally, I don’t like Mondays, but then Mondays come with their aura and this aura is what we can use to our advantage to not only get the best out of our Mondays but from the rest of the week.
You might have heard the story of the tortoise and the hare. The hare is fast and runs faster in the short term, but in the long run, the tortoise catches up with him and wins the race.
This is how you should see Mondays and therefore make plans not only for the short-term period of that day but also make sure your long-term plan for the week is fitted into your schedule without anyone overworking you because it’s Monday nor should you also overwork yourself trying to get ahead of anyone.
The competition is against you so accomplish something today to create a better you tomorrow by not only starting sharp but staying sharp all through the week.
This is where I pen it down for today and this serves as a motivation to myself to make the best of the new week
What are you doing differently this week, I would like to hear about them in the comments
see ya next time
