This has to be one of the most profound statements in the history of all history and it came from the lips of a legend, the late Nelson Mandela, the man that lead millions into freedom.
The Quote
Nelson Mandela – “I never lose. I either win or learn.”
This is true for anyone with a success mentality. He didn't really mean he never actually loses at something. He got sent to prison, that's more losing than a lot of things. But what he actually meant was it depends on how you see the whole thing about losing.
If you fail or lose at something, the only good that comes out of it is the lesson that experience teaches.
Some have said that failure teaches more than success does and I agree. One thing I value about the lessons of failure is strength of character. If only you can keep hope alive after failure you're stronger and have a better chance at winning the next try.
Everyone wants or let me say wishes to win in life. Become successful, acknowledged for doing something great, getting love back when you fall in love. We desire good but maybe the losing, the failure or the disappointment has a good it plays in the process.
If you see losing the way Mr Nelson Mandela did, you won't be sad and you won't give up. No wonder the man was known for never giving up.
He saw losing as a learning opportunity. What is it that went wrong which caused me to not win, that's what losing is there to do for you, to force you to find answers. When you fail at something, it doesn't mean success has eluded you forever, it only means the method or approach you used to try to achieve or acquire what you wanted is wrong so change it to the right one. That gives a platform to learn from your mistakes.
This just has to be the true way leaders and stars think. They don't give up, they just restart having in mind why they failed the fish time.
