The interesting thing about every week is the way things get so spontaneous and eventful. Although this can be stressful, as one would probably have a different plan and then something else surfaces, I can’t remember a week when there wasn’t something unexpected. If you have been following my posts, you already know I am a content writer, a voiceover artist, and a media personnel. I have been privileged to practice the aforementioned for years. I have had to multitask several times.
By the way, this is my first post in the Free Compliments Community, and I am glad to be here. The Sunday Reflections Prompt caught my attention as it is an avenue to reminisce on the activities of the week and get the thoughts of fellow members. A big thanks for the initiative.
I started off the week with a call from a company requesting a media plan for an upcoming event. It is more of a pitch than a project, but it took a lot of my time. The media plan must be tailored to the specific needs of the event and also reflect the company’s interests. The brief was a bit demanding, but since it is what I do, I had no choice than to dance to their tunes. The funny thing is, I already had about two pending projects, and I was going to follow up with the project owners before the call about the media plan came in. I always love to write on Hive daily, and that was also on my shelf. To make things interesting, about two people also called about the script I created for their jingles and wanted to know when I would voice them. All these were on my table at once!

If I am making as much money as the work and stress piled on my desk, I won’t even raise an eyebrow; I’ll just deliver! But the major challenge is that everyone wants the best for a token. This had been one of my major challenges, especially with Nigerians. Most of these people want their work done immediately! I deliver anyway!
I had to draw up a plan for the week and let my clients know when to expect their work to be delivered. The first thing I fixed was the post for Hive. I knew I would have to miss a day or two in the week, but I wouldn't love to start the week without any posts. The media plan was ready and sent to the company by Tuesday morning. I also fixed the scripts for the jingles by Tuesday, and they were also voiced. I was able to follow up with the two other clients and close the deal by Thursday. I was also moving around in between. So, it wasn’t all that easy to achieve all the tasks. I also had to pay my dues at a radio station where I work. I was there on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Sometimes I go to work on other days, and it’s always very demanding.
I came back by Friday evening, very tired. Thankfully, I was able to write and post on Hive in between the delivery of tasks through the week. Saturday was a different ball game. I had plans to have some rest and probably write on Hive but I got a call from a friend who needs help. However, I was able to drop a writeup.
Today, before the church service, I was already planning to come up with at least one writeup after the service. I am glad I could achieve this. My week has been hectic, but trust me, I am having a nice long rest after this writeup, or maybe I can write another piece. Let’s see.
As hectic as my week might have been, I pray it never stops being hectic because I love the joy that comes with achievements!
Thank you for reading through. Have a great and productive week ahead.
