This song is a clear depiction of what is happening in this contemporary society in terms of relationships. A lot of young people out there don't want to be committed when it comes to the affairs of the heart, it is a very common feature nowadays but this song leans on the affairs from the masculine side. Most dudes who practice the subtle art of being side dudes when the girl is obviously in a serious relationship are victims of heartbreaks from previous relationships. After being hurt, cheated on and broken, they decide to take a step back, enjoy all the privileges of a boyfriend without ever becoming one. While the rest are just players who do not see the necessity of being serious with a lady.
The artist talks about how he doesn't need to be in a rush to get to see the lady because she might be with her partner but whenever he wants her around she definitely come around. He might not be boyfriend material but he doesn't mind being the side nigga of the year🤣🤣🤣🤣. It's so funny how cheating has been so normalized that people sing about it and it fully accepted by the public.
I might not agree with what the song represents but I'll acknowledge that it's very nicely done...... Maybe I used to concur with it at some point in my life, however I don't anymore..
