Hello, Vibes family! I apologise for not being available in our last weeks writing contest to update you guys; I got a bit engaged, but I'm back now.
So far, we've been able to do justice to and lay a good foundation for about 4 elements when dealing with composure in music: introduction, the performer's ability to own the song, audibility and projection, and last but not least, boldness. And so, finally, as we wrap up this episode, we'll be looking at engaging the audience via eye contact as our last element. Stay tuned!
Engaging with the audience through eye contact remains a very useful tool not just only to get the attention of the audiences but it also shows how confident the performer is.
Your being able to convey or pass an information via your song is dependent on how frequent and steady you are with making eye contact
Engaging with audience through eye contact can create a sense of connection and intimacy. This helps to build a rapport with the audience and can affect the emotional impact of the performance.
A lot of things happen out there on stage and understqnding and perceiving the audience reaction theough eyecontact helps the performer to adjust and connect better. For instance you'll need eyecontact to detect when a particular chorus is repeated way to much in a song.
Eye contact works like a charm. When once you've fully captured the heart of the audience, their automatically logged in to you and this here boost the engagement of audience.
One thing every musician most note especially if he or she is performing newly in a place is that you wont be able to create an impact if you aren't able to get pass the door of their heart. So therefore a fourth walll always has to be broken in order for this to happen and this can only be achieved by engaging with the audience through eye contact
Thanks for reading.
