Hello everyone!
This is the Vibes Web3 Music Competition, week 38. For this week, I decided to sing a song titled "Mad About You" by Hooverphonic. I actually heard the song while I was watching the series The Umbrella Academy. The moment I heard it, I picked up my phone, opened the Google app, and used it to listen to the song.
Google showed me the title and the artist, and from there, I went on YouTube, listened to the song a bit more, and decided it was definitely something I wanted to sing.

After that, I went ahead to download the mp3 version.
However, I had a little challenge—I had a cracked voice, sort of like a sore throat. At first, I felt I wouldn’t be able to do the cover. But thanks to a simple remedy I tried—warm lemon water, which I took every day—it helped soothe my vocals. After a while, my voice got a bit better, although not completely back to normal.
It took me a few days to learn the song. I started by writing out the lyrics, then listening repeatedly to familiarize myself with the tone, tune, and everything else. Eventually, I learned the lyrics.
Now, the day I was supposed to record the song ended up being a rehearsal day, so I wasn’t able to record or post it. That day became just a rehearsal day because I kept making mistakes with the lyrics and I didn't feel confident singing it. But the next day, I finally recorded the song and finalized everything.
I'm honestly glad it didn’t turn out as bad as I feared. I really hope you enjoy listening to this cover. I think it's a great idea to listen to soundtracks in movies—they can be inspiring and even give you cover ideas. That’s exactly what happened for me.
So that’s all for now.
Thanks for stopping by!
