Hi vibes fam!! It your girl lorah, and this is my entry for this week’s Competition. I chose to sing Summertime following this weeks theme. Tho it wasn’t easy finding a song cause songs in that era are quite technical. then i saw summertime and I remember @verbal-d commenting on one of my entries that my performance and expressiveness is like that of Ella Fitzgerald, and i’m so grateful he made that comment, thats why i decided to go for summertime.
It was originally composed by George Gershwin for the 1935 opera Porgy and Bess, and later performed by other great artists. For my entry, I was especially inspired by the version sung by Ella Fitzgerald and I decided to sing it in her style, and I really hope you enjoy it!”
