Uptown Funk - Drum Cover | VIBES Week 1

What's up Hivers! Today I finally bring you a DRUM COVER of the song Uptown Funk, to participate in VIBES Web 3 Music Competition, the contest that is attracting a lot of musicians to Hive 😁.

I chose this song because it's good, simple and catchy. It's without a doubt one of the biggest hits Bruno Mars has had in his career and it's a song I think we all know.

A few years ago I taught it to one of my students and I hadn't played it on drums since. I literally went through it and recorded it in just an hour, but I thought it was pretty good for such a quick turnaround.

This week I was so busy with work and looking for a new residence, that for a moment I thought I wouldn't have time to upload this cover for the contest, but in the end I made it and I'm happy to dedicate part of my time to record these videos, which I really enjoy doing.

¡Qué dice la gente de Hive! El día de hoy al fin les traigo un DRUM COVER de la canción Uptown Funk, para participar en VIBES Web 3 Music Competition, el concurso que esta atrayendo a un montón de músicos nuevos Hive 😁

Elegí esta canción porque es buena, sencilla y pegajosa. Es sin duda uno de los hits mas grandes que ha tenido Bruno Mars en su carrera y es un tema que creo todos conocemos.

Hace unos años se la enseñé a una de mis alumnas y desde entonces no la había vuelto a tocar en la batería. Literalmente la repasé y la grabé en tan solo una hora, pero me parece que quedó muy bien para haberla montado tan rápido.

Esta semana estuve tan ocupada con cuestiones de trabajo y búsqueda de nuevo hogar, que por un momento pensé que no me iba a dar tiempo de subir este cover para el concurso, pero al final se logró y me siento feliz de volver a dedicar parte de mi tiempo en grabar estos videos, que sinceramente disfruto demasiado hacer.
