Vibes Web3 Music Competition Week 38 - DEVIL'S WORK "RESPONSE TO JOYNER LUCAS" (COVER)
I've lost people who were very special to me couple of years ago to death and allot has been going through my mind until I heard Bizzle's response to Joyner Lucas song..
"IF YOU THINK YOU CAN CHOOSE WHEN YOUR LOVE ONES DIE, IF YOU PUT IT OFF 20YEARS AWAY, 20 YEARS LATER WHEN THE DAY CAME WOULD YOU NOT CRY?"
"DO Y'ALL THINK WE ARE ALL PERFECT AND WOULD ESCAPE PUNISHMENTS IF GOD DECIDES TO JUDGE EVERY SIN TONIGHT?"
Joyner Lucas was questioning God for taking the lives of their beloved ones just like any of us here would, but Bizzle's response came as a remedy to people like my own self too..
The world has surrounds us with a lot more mysteries to unravel, saddled with so many thoughts and responsibilities as we paddle through the circumference of life's journey. Everybody with their narrative about who God is, based on some experiences they know best. The truth remains that we can never be God and His ways can never be ours. FOR WE WALK BY FAITH AND NOT BY SIGHT this scripture has helped me allot of times and for sure it's forms the basic foundation of our Christian journey. The more you're tryna know why He (God) did what He did and judge him, the more you'll be left wandering around with so many wrong answers, the more you'll be proving our human inefficiencies and vulnerability. Sooo...
Learn to trust Him with all your heart and depend not on your own understanding but acknowledge Him in all your ways.. Proverbs 3:5
I hope this piece refreshes your thoughts about who you've been questioning..?
I hope it blesses you more and gives you a cause to keep pushing... Peace and Love đđ

Song Lyrics
Joyner, I hear youâre going through some things and itâs getting tough, but
I see you got my Word with you, itâs a shame how the pain only thing make you pick it up
You complain when it rains just once but I never hear thanks for that hundred days with the sun
Couldâve ran to me first, ran to the drink first, and now I gotta have this conversation with you when you drunk, see
Before I even start addressing it, I donât owe you any answers, so donât get used to it
But I feel like you being genuine, but the truth is you canât handle the truth, Lucas
But you kept it a buck and I love that, if I kept it a buck back, could you take what you stepping in?
I know thereâs other folk that feel like you, so first thing Iâmma do is let you know who you questioning
I am the God who created the Earth
I knew youâd start feeling yourself, so I made you from dirt
Ainât no battery in your body, so who making it work?
I made the Earth perfect, itâs yâall making it worse
Who put the seed in the fruit, who put the fruit in the tree and that tree in another little seed but Me
Then turned around and made you the same way after that
But you was in your daddyâs sack and this that daddy sack
I am the One who put breath in your lungs and created the same mind that you question Me from
You are lost, Iâm the Way, Iâm the potter, youâre the clay
And now the clay got something to say, okay
You can never check Me, so check this, your standard
For right and wrong is Me
I am the checklist, I am right
Wrong is whatever youâre left with, I am life
You without me is what death is
I am the Judge, you answer me
If I throw light, man, who throws it back at Me?
And if all this falls, who can stand but Me?
You go the cross but you cross-examine Me
You say I made mistakes, you mistaking Me
You made gods out of men who are clay to Me
You put lives over lives that you ainât create
Then feel a way âcause all flesh the same to Me
What if some of the people you naming to Me
Wasnât really everything that you made them to be
Or worse, what if they are and I take âem with Me
Are You telling Me thereâs any better place they could be?
Either way, you donât know, you just gotta push through
âCause why you over here saying what I should do
Somebody lost somebody last week and
Came at me the same way, saying I shouldâve took you
You ask why the good die young
But the truth is, none of yâall are good, not one
The only one ever been goodâs My Son
So to answer your question, the good die once (Jesus)
What if I told you to truth when your mom died?
You think you can choose when your mom dies?
If you put it off twenty years away
Twenty years later when that day came, would you not cry?
You couldnât be God, you are not I
My ways are not yours, your thoughts are not Mine
You canât even deal with the pressure of your own life
When youâre not high, try looking into God mind
See, I love them more than you ever did
More than you ever could, death doesnât lessen it
Let My own Son meet death as the evidence
That I love âem all, rap star to the president
The real question is, what you living like?
If I punish every sin, would you live tonight?
So how you get mad when I give them other folks same chances I give you to get it right?
You got a son that one dayâll be a man
You expect him to trust you when he donât understand
Or even know what you up to
âCause you know that he loves you, right?
So trust that I love you
