Among my favorite healing tools, natural medicine always stands out! 🌿 And at the top of my list is Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which has captivated me for the past 15 years—ever since I first experienced it as a patient during a phase of my life filled with youth and extreme sports.
It became a loyal ally in soothing the countless bruises and falls that came with longboarding and surfing. The truth is, I found the sensation of acupuncture needles fascinating—the immediate response of natural therapy, the perception of energy flowing through my body in such a palpable way. It was entirely new and majestic for me.
One of the most remarkable aspects was the instant pain relief, and after each session, observing the undeniable progression toward healing. It was, without a doubt, a spectacular journey of self-awareness, care, and magic. My first experience with these therapies was with my dear friend Wiley Durán, who lovingly introduced me to her wisdom and heart.
Of all these incredible practices, "Moxa" was the one that truly captivated me. Its enveloping warmth and sublime sweetness opened a very special door within me. I began to research and inquire, sharing with Wiley the profound feeling Moxa had awakened in me. She encouraged me, saying, "If you love it so much, learn more," and lent me some magical and revealing guides on the study of Moxibustion.
You might be wondering—what exactly is Moxibustion? Let me explain a little: It is a heat therapy within TCM, as ancient and effective as acupuncture itself. This form of medicine dates back more than 2,500 years and remains relevant today, gaining prominence not only in the East but increasingly in the Western world.
Moxa is the name of the tool used in therapy, and there are different varieties, but one of the most well-known is the cigar-shaped form. It is made exclusively from the Artemisia Vulgaris plant, whose thermal properties (quantified in nanomicrons and °K) match the frequency emitted by the sun.
It's no secret that the sun is an undeniable source of energy, largely responsible for sustaining life on our planet. Many different perspectives within medicine and health emphasize the importance of receiving sunlight daily to activate, nourish, and regenerate our bodies at deep levels.
TCM shares this view. From its perspective, the body's energetic meridians are nourished and harmonized by sunlight. Thus, Moxa becomes a means of delivering a unique and necessary dose of energy, calibrating the body for optimal organ function and the flow of Qi (vital energy) throughout our system.
In the guide my friend shared with me, I found invaluable knowledge from great native scholars of TCM—philosophers, thinkers, and practitioners of this ancient wisdom—who presented hundreds of concepts and ideas that made it easy to understand the body as a functional unit (not as separate parts operating independently, as conventional Western medicine often studies it). They emphasized the significant influence of Shen (emotions and thoughts) on physical health.
This was the intellectual foundation that supported the deep feeling awakened within me. It became clear that I needed to study more, specifically focusing on the relationship between emotions and health. This was the second stage of evolution in a journey that seemed intent on leading me toward an exciting new destination—one I wholeheartedly embraced.
Later on, I met Isabel García, a remarkable woman with deep expertise in quantum energy and meditation. We crossed paths unexpectedly during a collective meditation and tonal activation event hosted by Matías de Stefano in Venezuela. (A truly powerful and transformative experience.)
Isabel had studied TCM and was offering a practical workshop on Moxa for emotional balance in 2015. It was perfect timing—not only was it another step forward in my studies, but it was also open to people without prior knowledge of TCM. In other words, it was ideal for me, and the Universe had placed it right in my hands.
This workshop broadened my vision of possibilities. I delved deeper into the study of Moxa, emotions, and health—it was absolutely spectacular. By the end of the workshop, I had no doubts: I wanted to continue learning so I could share these tools with more people, helping them reclaim their well-being. I understood that our natural state is health.
That's how I discovered my path. I knew what I had to—and wanted to—do, so I decided to enroll in technical studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Bioenergetics at Herencia Luminosa school. It was a beautiful journey, full of lessons and surprises. I embarked upon it lightly, with no grand expectations, simply as a heartfelt call to nourish my soul.
That first day—what started as a desire to explore, to learn something new, and cultivate a tool for my own well-being—led me to the present moment, where I now offer my knowledge with love and respect. I share what I have cultivated along my journey to support the restoration of health, well-being, and balanced living for my family, friends, and every soul who resonates with my offering.
I remember that during my studies, a friend offered me a massage table for sale. It was a great price-value deal, but I hesitated. Why would I buy it? I wasn’t sure if I would even pursue this professionally. My beloved and always insightful life partner, @cleiverland, gave me the push I needed—he told me to go for it, saying that if I eventually decided not to continue, I could always sell it. Today, that table is the heart of my #TherapyRoom, a welcoming and revitalizing space that my clients love returning to.
Now, I’m sharing my knowledge of Moxa and its connection to emotions! I’ll be launching a series of workshops to spread awareness of this powerful wisdom. In an upcoming post, I’ll share more about how this beautiful offering continues to unfold.

Entre mis herramientas favorita, siempre la medicina natural! 🌿 Y en mi top la Medicina Tradicional China (MTC), que me enamoró desde hace unos 15 años cuando llegué como paciente en una fase de mi vida dónde reinaban la juventud y los deportes extremos.
Fue sin duda una gran aliada ante los múltiples golpes y caídas que llegaron con el longboard y el surf. La verdad me pareció tan fascinante la sensación de las agujas en mi cuerpo y la respuesta inmediata de la terapia natural, percibir el movimiento de la energía que nos recorre internamente de esta manera era completamente nuevo y majestuoso para mi.
Entre lo más impresionante, sin duda el alivio instantáneo del dolor y posterior a cada sesión mirar la evolución que se hacía absolutamente notable, definitivamente un viaje espectacular de atención, autoconocimiento y magia. Mi primera vez recibiendo estas terapias fue con mi muy querida amiga Wiley Durán, que con muchísimo amor y disposición me acercó a sus saberes y corazón.
Entre todas estas magias, la "Moxa" fue quien me cautivó del todo, con su calor envolvente y dulzura sublime abrió una puerta muy especial dentro de mí. Comencé a indagar y preguntar, le comenté a Wiley sobre este sentir tan especial que se había despertado con la Moxa y me dijo: si tanto te gusta, aprende más, y me prestó unas guías muy mágicas y reveladoras acerca del estudio de la Moxibustión.
Quiza te estarás preguntando qué es concretamente la Moxibustión? Te cuento un poco: es una terapia de calor de la MTC, tan antigua y efectiva como la acupuntura misma. Hablamos de una medicina que data de hace más de 2.500 años atrás, y que aún se mantiene vigente, cobrando protagonismo no solo en oriente sino ahora también de este lado del mundo.
Moxa es el nombre del instrumento que se usa en la terapia, hay diferentes variedades, pero una de las más conocidas es en forma de puro. Este está contenido exclusivamente por la planta Artemisa Vulgaris, ya que su propiedad calórica (cuantificada en nanomicras y °K) son equivalentes a la frecuencia que emite el sol.
No es un secreto que el astro rey es una fuente de energía indiscutible, el responsable en gran medida de que la vida suceda en nuestro planeta. Es ampliamente recomendado, desde diversas visiones de medicina y salud, recibir los rayos del sol de manera cotidiana para activar, nutrir y regenerar nuestro cuerpo a niveles muy profundos.
Para la MTC, también lo es. Desde su visión, los meridianos energéticos de nuestro cuerpo se nutren y armonizan con la luz solar, de esta forma la moxa se vuelve una posibilidad de proporcionar al cuerpo una dosis de energía y calibración particular y necesaria para el buen funcionamiento de nuestros órganos y el flujo del Qi (energía vital) en todo nuestro cuerpo.
En la guía que me compartió mi amiga, encontré muchísima información valiosa de grandes estudiosos nativos de la MTC, filósofos, pensadores y practicantes de esta sabiduría milenaria, que exponían cientos de preceptos e ideas para comprender fácilmente al cuerpo como una unidad funcional (y no como partes separadas entre sí que operan con independencia, como mayormente estudia en la medicina alopata), destacando de manera especial la influencia del Shen (emociones y pensamientos) en el estado de salud del cuerpo.
Esta fue la primera raíz intelectual que le dió base a todo este sentir que se había despertado en mi. Fue muy claro para mí que de eso se trataba, debía estudiar más y poner especial enfoque en la relación emocion - salud. Así llegó el segundo nivel de evolución en este camino que parecía querer llevarme a un lugar nuevo y excitante, y al cual por su puesto me dejé llevar encantada.
Tiempo después, conocí a Isabel García, una hermosísima mujer con amplitud de conocimiento en la energía cuántica y meditación. Nos encontramos de manera fortuita en una actividad de meditación y activación colectiva de llaves tonales y apertura de portal energético junto a Matías de Stefano en su paso por Venezuela. (Una experiencia súper impresionante y reveladora).
Isabel, había estudiado MTC y estaba compartiendo en aquel tiempo un taller práctico de Moxa para armonizar las emociones en 2015. Me cayó perfecto, porque no sólo era un paso más para avanzar en este estudio, también estaba abierto para personas que no tenían conocimiento previo de MTC, mejor dicho era perfecto para mí y el Universo lo trajo hasta mis manos.
Este taller me abrió la visión a un mundo de posibilidades, pude estudiar más a profundidad acerca de la herramienta, las emociones y la salud, fue absolutamente espectacular. Al terminar el taller, no tuve dudas de que lo que quería era continuar conociendo más para poder hacer que más personas conocieran de estas herramientas y así pudieran recuperar su bienestar, entiendo que nuestro estado natural es la salud.
Fue así como descubrí que lo que debía (y quería) hacer era profundizar y tomé la decisión de iniciar la carrera de estudio técnico en Medicina Tradicional China y Bioenergética en la escuela Herencia Luminosa. Fue un camino hermosísimo, aleccionador por demás y lleno de sorpresas, empecé haciéndolo de manera ligera y sin grandes expectativas, como un llamado genuino a nutrir a mi alma.
La verdad es que ese primer día, que inició como un deseo de explorar, conocer algo nuevo y cultivar una herramienta para mi bienestar, no pensé que me traería hasta este presente donde pongo al servicio, con amor y respeto, los saberes que he cultivado en mi camino con el propósito de retornar al bienestar, la salud y el buen vivir para mí familia, amigos y toda alma resonante con esta mi propuesta.
Recuerdo que en medio de la carrera de estudio un amigo que ofreció en venta una camilla para masajes. Era una muy buena oferta relación precio valor, pero yo tenía mis dudas jajaja pensaba que para qué me la iba a comprar si yo no hacía nada de eso ni me proyectaba o sabía mucho si al final iba a dedicarme a eso. Mi amado y siempre acertado compañero de vida @cleiverland me dió el empujón al decirme que la comprara, y que aprovechara, que si al final no quería dedicarme a eso sería fácil venderla. Hoy es el centro esencial de mi #TherapyRoom y el espacio acogedor y revitalizante al que siempre mis consultantes quieren volver.
Ahora estoy compartiendo este saber de la moxa y su relación con las emociones! Estaré compartiendo un ciclo de talleres para dar a conocer este valioso saber, en un próximo post les compartiré acerca de como ha ido nutriendo está bella propuesta.
En definitiva, estamos hechos de decisiones, no hay nada escrito en nuestra historia con tinta indeleble, porque hay cientos de caminos para llevarnos al mismo propósito. Con estas líneas me permito tocar la fibra de la memoria, de la creación consciente de nuestros pasos, de la llama silente de la intuición que se abre paso cuando dejamos hablar al corazón.
