This song has never been released ever anywhere in over 11 years and is actually the base foundation of my piano composition “Nothing But Bliss” Piano Entry, which I played and performed for you all for this Vibes Week 20.
My very talented singer friend Nnenna, whom I’ve known since our Gospel Choir days in university, was jamming out in a piano room with me after rehearsals one day, and she heard me playing “Nothing But Bliss” in its very early stages of creation.
She loved the song so much that she said she had just finished writing a deep personal song that would fit the chord progression perfectly. And after a few run throughs, it all fell smoothly together and we brought it over to my best friend Edgar’s house to record and lay it down. He mixed and mastered it but we never got around to releasing or promoting it. So you all get to hear it for the very first time. It is definitely one of my favorite self reflective songs. The lyrics speak truth and are so relatable to the human experience. Enjoy….
