Been a while since I've had to upgrade phones and since my last one has become quite slow (in comparison to what it could be, not by the manufacturer on purpose when a new one is released like Apple does) I've been looking for a new one. With the recent pump in Hive price I figured it was a good time to let go of some for it. I don't usually turn crypto into fiat often, matter of fact the last two bull runs all I've bought have been a desktop pc, cheap laptop and now this phone. Since I also wanted to get a better camera for possible future photos I decided to look into which ones have a decent phone camera because I don't see myself walking around with an actual camera any time soon.
I bought a Samsung S22.
Now don't expect this post to be of me having taken any pictures of videos of it, because I haven't really yet, but the nerd in me did spend some time trying out the gaming aspect of it. :P Though I'm not a big mobile gamer I think there are some games that can be quite enjoyable sitting back or laying down and playing, the mobile version of league of legends is one I've enjoyed lately, although I mostly just do ARAM cause my favorite champion isn't on it for some reason (Vel'koz).
I did test it with some heavier requirement games as well, though, like call of duty and pubg mobile although I don't see myself gaming a lot of first person shooters on my phone cause holy shit the controls are annoying.
Here's some footage of me playing CoD, I'm surprised by how bad everyone is considering I know how bad I am.
As mentioned the game works pretty well on it, it's quite surprising what good phones can handle these days and how fast technology is evolving. Even while recording at 1080p and 60 fps it still worked as smooth as butter.
And yes, I was not exaggerating when I said everyone was just terrible:
Kind of made it very not so fun, dunno if most were bots the game shoots up to pretend they have an active playerbase or if some clickfarmers are farming something they plan on selling later but ugh.
I went then to play some Wild Rift instead, i.e. League of Legends mobile version:
Quite fun and lovely graphics, more importantly everyone was not just bots or terribad so it made it more interesting and challenging to play.
Let me know if you'd pay me to stop posting more mobile gameplay videos in the near future. :P
I'll try and post some photos from the new phone soon!
Sending half of the post rewards to @hivegc as this is quite a shitpost.
