Ah, Burnout Legends, what a classic of a racer this is from its time. I surprisingly stumbled upon first many years ago as a kid with the DS version of Legends on a flashcart (which you might now already that is an atrocious game and not even a real port), and then took a look later on at the PSP Legends and Dominator. While I remember playing Dominator way more on my PSP, I still can't deny the amount of fun that Legends gave to me as well, and being an "all-star" game bringing some old tracks and even special cars from previous games (my favorite was the racing car in Burnout 2, since I also played that for a while and was available here) along with keeping the awesome high-octane gameplay the Burnout series had become known for. It is also the closest thing I have to Burnout 3 and Revenge since emulating the PS2 games is actually quite taxing to do on this current computer I have (let alone on the much weaker laptop I used back then).
The screenshots are from a time where I got to play the game online through a PSP emulator and some people that liked to do this a lot; it was surprisingly playable since your own car is not affected by distance but the other car will often appear glitchy as it tries to synchronize (since the multiplayer was done through the ad-hoc feature instead of a proper online mode), but it still was an interesting experience. A tough one since they were very good at playing so they often were ahead in the race, but it still was a thrill to play with some of the fastest cars against someone else.
In any case, the game is still satisfying to play with the high speeds and arcadey drifts allowing for simple-to-learn but hard-to-master reckless driving which is encouraged with the boost bonuses you get from driving the wrong lanes, drifting, and going near other cars. Your car is durable enough to handle most walls, but it will explode if another car drives you to crash into a wall (or run head first into a traffic car). However, you can also drive other racers to their demise as well, which is one of the franchise's main appeals (the titular Takedowns) and on top of giving you a cool camera shot of the other car flying away, your maximum boost gauge is increased!
A simple yet very honest game in its speed, fun and violence: Drive fast recklessly, drive other cars into the walls, and have a big blast while doing so!
...in the videogame, that is. Of course you don't want to risk driving head first into a wall in real life; that's what racing games are for 😎

Tu coche es lo suficientemente resistente como para enfrentarse a la mayorÃa de los muros, pero explotará si otro coche te lleva a chocar contra un muro (o a chocar de frente con un coche de tráfico). Sin embargo, también puedes llevar a otros corredores a su perdición, lo que constituye uno de los principales atractivos de la franquicia (los Takedowns titulares) y, además de ofrecerte una bonita toma de cámara del otro coche saliendo volando, ¡tu medidor de impulso máximo aumenta!
