Let me explain.
After a LOOOONG time, I decided to tell my brother "hey, let's play DBZ again" and booted this up. He inmediately went to Team Battle and picked two characters, to which I instinctively picked four...and you might think "hey man, isn't that unfair?"
Even though he was quite struggling at first with using a gamepad other than the Gamecube, he was still managing to pick up fast and land some of his longer combos while I was totally clueless on how to block them...I know that you can block high, mid and low, but I swear that when he gets up to my face, I can't get to keep blocking for too long until he flips me and starts racking up damage.
But there was a way I could get his health down...
While I didn't know how to reliably do the long 15-20 hit combos that assured that almost one bar of my life would be gone if I got hit by them, I could always opt for the magic trick: The rush cutscene supers.
You know, activate, then your character dashes into the enemy...and if they don't get out by blocking low the attack, using Explosive Wave (oh my, how he loved using that one to get out of just anything)...or somehow cheating out as he sometimes did by throwing attacks in the air, I would get a guaranteed amount of damage..to his frustration.
He was saying that it was, to put it in another words other than what he actually said, "cheap" and "dishonorful" repeated usage, but if he can't block low or hit an explosive wave before I get in, not my fault; I got him into a throw and used it for guaranteed damage? Not my fault!
And if anything, if these were the way I had to get SOME damage on him compared to his insane length combos, then SO BE IT.

Hercule Break!
I actually played as him once and got his Dynamic Mess-Up Punch to do real damage TWICE in a row. This later was a very funny memory when we played a mirror Hercule match and he did the super...and only got one point of damage from it.
But then things started going wrong. Oh, they did fast.
After having consistently defeated him (though at my third to fifth characters), he claimed that he would win SOLO if I configured the Gamecube controller for him. And so I did. At first he was claiming that he was still trying to remember stuff...but it wasn't that he was a cakewalk even during that phase.
And then he started playing as Super Gohan again.
Won like once or twice of several of these matches; his muscle memory and 4000 years of knowledge started hitting in so hard that I was actually not being let up any chances to even try using the rush super, either being blocked, explosive wave'd immediately, or at the last of these fights, even being mockingly dodged with basic movement. This time around, he was pulling no punches and doing Marvel/KOF/Skullgirls style ultra combos and leaving me zero chance to breath to my absolute disgust and confusion.
Because again, I still have absolutely no idea on how to block him properly on these occasions, and this time around he was rushing in EVERY time to beat me down.
And then we capped it off with a classic fight at the World Tournament between Demon King Piccolo and Kid Goku. First round, knocked me off stage.
Second round, back and forth struggle until I ended up running out of ki and had to mash to recover.
This should sum up what his deal really was.

Después de MUCHO tiempo, decidí decirle a mi hermano "oye, vamos a jugar a DBZ otra vez" y lo arranqué. Inmediatamente fue a Team Battle y eligió dos personajes, a lo que yo instintivamente elegí cuatro... y pensaréis "oye tío, ¿no es injusto?".
A pesar de que al principio le costaba bastante usar un gamepad que no fuera el de Gamecube, se las apañaba para coger velocidad y lanzar algunos de sus combos más largos mientras yo no tenía ni idea de cómo bloquearlos... Sé que se puede bloquear alto, medio y bajo, pero os juro que cuando se me acerca a la cara, no consigo mantener el bloqueo demasiado tiempo hasta que me voltea y empieza a acumular daño.
Pero había una forma de reducir su salud...
Aunque no sabía cómo hacer de forma fiable los largos combos de 15-20 golpes que aseguraban que casi una barra de mi vida se esfumaría si me golpeaban, siempre podía optar por el truco mágico: los supers de las escenas rápidas.
Ya sabes, se activan, entonces tu personaje se lanza contra el enemigo... y si éste no se libra bloqueando el ataque, usando Onda Explosiva (madre mía, cómo le gustaba usarla para librarse de cualquier cosa)... o haciendo trampas como hacía a veces lanzando ataques al aire, yo recibía una cantidad de daño garantizada... para su frustración.
Decía que era, por decirlo con otras palabras distintas a las que realmente dijo, "barato" y "deshonroso" el uso repetido (como ustedes hispanohablantes que están leyendo esta sección, se pueden imaginar exactamente que estaba diciendo en realidad), pero si él no puede bloquear bajo o golpear una onda explosiva antes de que yo entre, no es mi culpa; ¿lo metí en un lanzamiento y lo usé para daño garantizado? No es culpa mía.
Y en todo caso, si ésta era la forma que tenía de causarle ALGO de daño en comparación con sus combos de longitud demencial, que así fuera.

¡Descanso con Mr. Satan!
Una vez jugué con él y conseguí que su Puñetazo Dinámico hiciera daño DOS veces seguidas. Más tarde tuve un recuerdo muy divertido cuando jugamos una partida espejo con Mister Satan y él hizo el súper... y sólo recibió un punto de daño.
Pero entonces las cosas empezaron a ir mal. Lo hicieron rápido.
Después de haberle derrotado sistemáticamente (aunque en mis personajes tercero a quinto), afirmó que ganaría SOLO si le configuraba el mando de Gamecube. Y así lo hice. Al principio alegaba que aún estaba intentando recordar cosas... pero no es que fuera pan comido ni siquiera durante esa fase.
Y entonces empezó a jugar de nuevo como Super Gohan.
Gané como una o dos veces de varios de estos combates; su memoria muscular y 4000 años de conocimiento empezaron a golpear tan fuerte que en realidad no me dejaba ninguna oportunidad de intentar siquiera usar el super rush, o bien era bloqueado, onda explosiva inmediatamente, o en el último de estos combates, incluso era esquivado burlonamente con movimientos básicos. En esta ocasión, no se andaba con rodeos y hacía ultra combos al estilo Marvel/KOF/Skullgirls, sin dejarme ninguna oportunidad de respirar, para mi disgusto y confusión absolutos.
Porque, una vez más, sigo sin tener ni idea de cómo bloquearle correctamente en estas ocasiones, y esta vez se abalanzaba TODAS las veces para golpearme.
Y luego rematamos con una pelea clásica en el Torneo Mundial entre el Rey Demonio Piccolo y Kid Goku. Primer asalto, me echó del escenario.
Segundo asalto, lucha de ida y vuelta hasta que me quedé sin ki y tuve que machacar para recuperarme.
Esto debería resumir lo que realmente era su trato.
