Long story short, my PC's PSU gave up around two weeks ago, so I wasn't able to get my hands on the stuff on my PC for a while until recently when I finally got it replaced thanks to my brother. While I might go into full detail of that story later, today I'm here to tell ya about the game I revisited taking the chance that now I could do it on a keyboard.
Killer Instinct 2.
A game that I used to play a lot as a kid, even if I wasn't great, mainly because of how cool it looked. I got interested to try it again after a recent trailer for the new Killer Instinct's Anniversary Edition update and thinking back on those simpler days.
...Man, now I really appreciate more the ways they made the new KI's combo system intuitive, because I was eating losses left and right in this one due to me forgetting the basic bread-and-butter combos I used to do here.

I lost the first fight in the game.
Add one to the continue counter already.
At least I got it down on the next fight, and won the other two...and then I ran into my first nemesis, even way back when I was a little kid: Glacius.
Took me 4 continues to take him down, as it was the first fighter in the lineup that starts using the game's signature combo system to whoop you several time without room to escape- unless you know your combo breakers and stuff.
I haven't played this game in years.
But I eventually clutched a win with the occasional basic 3-4 hit combos I cold pull off.
5 continues total so far.
Fighting against my own character surprisingly only took one continue, but the next battle would be where something...strange would start happening. 6 continues total btw.
With Combo, I lost one continue because sometimes I wasn't able to do the DP command with the light punch for some reason- something I noticed when trying to spam it and the thing refused to come out. 8 continues.
This was a terrible omen to a sudden bad event: With Tusk, the J key I used for the light kick eventually gave up. I absolutely blame the rain that happened last night that ended up causing some rain drops going through the ceiling and land on the keyboard, not only causing that but also making the other letters to be ocasionally unreliable to press, something that is also annoying me so much while writing this, as sometimes the keys fail to work, but not literally dead as that J key is now, which I have to type with the on-screen keyboard now.
It took me TEN continues to beat him while messing with the keyboard config, adding to a whopping 18 continues total at this point.

But on my winning fight, I got lucky to land a Combo Breaker and seal the deal with one more hit. 24 continues total.
Spinal took me 4 tries. My fingers are getting tired so let's get ahead to the last two fights- but not before mentioning that after several fights trying to land it but missing it out due to the last hit I get killing them off before using it...

28 continues total after that...and now its Fulgore time.
That thing LOVES to pose after beating me each time. It's awesome...but it also adds insult to injury of getting flexed by the thing after each failed attempt.
But surprisingly after only 3 continues...ULTRAAAAA COMBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
31 continues total now, and...here comes the final boss: GARGOS.
Not only this thing deals damage like crazy, but also can heal himself whenever you are knocked down- you'll notice when its laughing witha glow, and you also have to defeat it with a knockdown. No stray hits to beat him.
