Grimm's Hollow is a cute horror RPG that I finished in around 2 hours. The game stars, Lavender, a Grimm Reaper who died recently. The story explores loss, bullying and other dark themes as it follows Lavender's quest to save her and her brother's souls, as she learns more about being a Grimm Reaper.
I loved the presentation of this game. The pixel art is great, and the style is creepy in a cute way! The gameplay is a traditional turn-based combat, but I like the addition of quick-time events in there. This game clearly focuses on the story rather than gameplay, and I'm on board with that.
I couldn't bring myself to hate the main antagonist, as I'm sure Lavender would do the same thing in his place. If you made time to watch my playthrough, I hope to read your opinion as well.~
P.S.: I only realized I got the Worst Ending while writing this post.
I may play other story routes eventually, but I thought even the Worst Ending concluded well.
