I normally don't do game reviews because frankly I suck at it but this is an exception.
Mortal Online 2 - One of the most hyped game to come out in 2022, recently launched a week ago. It is subscription, plus purchase of the client from steam - rip off from the start.
Have you heard of SOuth Parks "The Line Ride" shenanigan? Well meet its online cousin, Server queue simulator 5000.
If you ever play this game you are recommended to stay in the newb area where there is no PVP, for a game that has it's biggest draw for being brutal, like Life is Feudal brutal but more brutal, not sure how that works out, you are asked by the developers to stay in there because they cannot and will not have servers to accommodate the number of players trying to get in to the game.
Steam player count as of this write up stand close to 9000 people playing, what you don't know is that number is 80 percent people on the server queue simulator 5000. The wait time? Infinity.
The discord has been bombarded with requests for ✊Restart Server, kick AFKs!✊, so the moderators have locked the chat channels. All of them. In order to keep things under wrap.
Sweep all that shit under the rug.
Two days I have attempted to get into the main server. I was dumb enough to think that I was too good for the newb server. Time so far on the simulator? 2 days...
Steam discussions board, bombarded with complaints about the server queue simulator. The only place the developers do not have full control to shut out the bad comments. So they have created dummy accounts to attack the complaints.
One thing that is what I call commitment
So what is the take away from this? Well for starters, Buy this game at your own risk. You will be paying subscription plus the initial purchase of the client, to be logged in to the first online "Line Ride". A fan of South Park, want to experience the South Park lifestyle online?
