Hello, gamers of Hive! I hope you are doing well.
In today’s episode, I ventured further inside the mountain. I discovered new areas and claimed all the chests(except one), and climbed up an elevator. F The highlight of today's game is that I get to an ancient at the end of the gameplay. In short, I have made huge progress in the game. And finally, found another elevator shaft by the end of the gameplay.
I started at Brök's shop. This time I went lazily with the dialogue, only to find nothing new about it. The old ones were used and the only business I had there was to get something myself or a few junk.
I crafted an axe pommel level 3. This helped me increase my overall stats. There was nothing to sell this time.
After that, I turned around and started to explore the place, Right off the bat I found a small passageway just behind a crate. This led me to my first chest of the day. It gave me a soft Svartalheim steel, nothing too fancy.
Behind the chest area was another place where traps were laid out. brök warned us to mind the traps. I couldn't resist a good exploration so I headed in.
There was a contraption where I had to throw my axe to pull this horizontal bed of arrows. Once it was open, the arrows in the front were shut. Then, the ones would close up and the arrows in the front would open. I lost a bit of HP as I got hit by 2 of them... I'm dumb don't judge.
As soon as I came in, I was welcomed by another dual-wielded Draugr and it killed me the first time I met it.
The first time since I met it and now the lore was available.
And then, I came inside this huge cavern that had a lot of explorable places. This was one of those areas that were brimming with chests and secret areas to find. I made up my mind just then to stay there and find out everything about it.
I tried to move the bogey but found it chained. It broke it and climbed atop the moveable bogey by mistake and through sheer luck I find a moveable door, hiding just behind it.
This time, it was a unique mug I found by a dead soldier. In the journal, it read that each Dwarf had a unique mug and that none of the mugs were similar to one another. This also meant that I only found 2 mugs out of 6 in the area.
Behind the bogey was the non-decomposing carcass of a camel. This looked like it was amused and somehow ended up under the rubble. I felt sad for this creature to be honest.
Behind the creature lay true treasure. Hacksilver, HP stone, bloodstone, Svartalheim steel, and many more were just left here. Probably the bandits never got past this point and left their belongings there.
I went back to the bogey and pushed it further and found that there was a ledge I could climb through. From there, I found a path that led me to the elevator shaft room. I pulled the chains and raised the gates so the bogey could pass and help me cross over to the other side. That was where I would lift the rocks.
But, doing all that right away would've made me miss all the juicy items. So, after lifting the gates I headed back in and tried to cross the bridge. Of course, it was raised, I just had to hack the binding away.
I crossed the bridge and wandered a bit. From that random voyage, I fell into this hole. I had no intention nor thought that there could be something down here.
Lo and behold, it was a chest that gave me dust and steel.
I went back up the ledge, crossed the bridge, and carefully walked beside the hole. Nothing good awaited me there except for a pair of dual-wield Draugrs. Easy to deal with yet annoying and deadly.
The first thing I did was kill the crow that looked like Odin's raven.
No treasure on this side. So, I crossed the adjoining bridge and found a few Draugr statues. The saying, "You can never be too careful" came in handy. I pointed my axe and found that a zombie was awaiting stimulus. So, I decided to head in with a bang.
I find that there was no treasure here too but a crystal. I lit it up and find that a way to the tip was shown. There was the chest I was beseeching.
I find 2 stones, an HP and another Bloodstone. None of which would help me. I decided to continue with the story as all the secrets in this cavern were revealed.
I crossed over to the other side and a shiny chest awaited me. This one gave me a Runic summon. Much like the wolves, this would allow me to call upon a fleet of ravens who would cause massive stun and a bit of damage to the enemies caught in the radius.
Kratos picks up the huge boulder and removes it, allowing us to bring down the claw and use it to head upward. I threw the chains down and looked around, no change.
As soon as I head down, I see this troll come out of nowhere and started to stomp on everything in sight. By everything, I meant Atreus and Kratos.
I shamelessly just threw the axe and reduced all of his HP while simultaneously shooting him with arrows.
Just after reducing his HP by half, he calls upon the Draugrs. These were annoying as there were explosive ones and dual-wielded ones. This made quite the combat challenge, on top of the high-difficulty mode.
I defeated it on the first try. It gave me amazing rewards too. I opened up the journal and learned that these trolls used to live in harmony with the dwarves that used to live here. But, due to fallout, they were banished. After the dwarves themselves were out of this mountain, the trolls squatted over the place.
I went back to the wheel and brought down the claw.
I brought the bogey between the claw and retrieved the axe. This made the claw snap and we were lifted.
The claw pulled us quite a bit and at such a length that would that it made me realize that the mountain was indeed the tallest one in all the realms. Atreus found a lantern. A few inscribing said that this one would take care of someone in their journey.
So, the boy lit it up, wrote a name, and let it loose.
I had a few people join in the stream as I passed through the trials of the dwarves.
This one was by far the most difficult. Not only did I have to avoid the beams of fire, but I also had to dodge the projectile Draugrs. There were 2 projectile ones and that made it very messy. It took me 4 tries to get it done.
Then, behind all this was an elevator shaft. This was where I stopped playing as it was too much action for 1 day.
If you guys have read this far, give yourself a pat on the back and rejoice for the post has reached its finale. See you legends at the next one!
